Had a fantastic stay at the Irish Village at the Hyannis Conference Center. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Even the pull out couch bed was comfortable. The service, from the receptionists to the waitstaff to the bartenders and everyone else in between were excellent! The food was delicious and the entertainment was superb as always. I can't wait to see what additional changes the next year brings.
Though we didn't stay here we did spend several hours here at a function for our child's soccer team. The bar was very warm and inviting and the floor length windows made the outside glow nicely. It was as though we had escaped to a little island getaway though it was the Cape in Winter! The food was pretty good and I'd say it was a few steps above bar food. I had a delicious Reuben with swiss. It came out a little cold but as a party of 30, I expected that! The staff was pleasant and I have to say I didn't expect them to be. Who wants to wait on a huge table of overtired 13 / 14 year old athletes and their 'pushed to the limits' parents begging for relief? But the waiter did a great job, was extremely professional & we all thanked him with a giant tip. It was very easy to navigate to as well as easy to find. I will definitely be back to check out the hotel and stay a couple nights. That one experience peaked my interest. The views I saw that night... Food & drinks: Excellent food and drinks as mentioned above!!
1. Had a dehumidifier in the room. Had to empty twice a day. Thought that was unusual as a guest to have to do this. And not all rooms even had them. 2. Pillows suck. 3. Front desk wasn't very informative. 4. Breakfast was good. My stay was OK, if I were to come back I'd hope they would get some updates.
The hotel hallways resemble hospital hallways. There is a strange smell to the hotel. The rooms are outdated. Some of our bedsheets had stains in them. The bathrooms were the worst part. Rust on the bathtub drain, noticeable water damage warps in the bathroom ceiling, peeling wallpaper. The hairdryer in the room was so old and nasty to the point it was sticky to the touch. The rooms AC unit sounded like an airplane. Would not recommend. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
We had a great time with family and friends this weekend at the new Irish Village. The food and service were great. Entertainment was very enjoyable. The employees are absolutely incredible, such hard workers and always so nice. Thank you from our family for a memorable weekend. My grandchildren had a ball!! Rooms: Older but very clean... Food & drinks: Food and drinks were great! Great bartenders! Noteworthy details: Staff is right on the ball. Very pleasent also!!
This might have been the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. First of all, it was $320/night. Which is outrageous for what it is. It begun as I was rudely greeted by the front desk staff telling me my card was declined, and wanting a different card, when in fact they didn't verify the name on the card/reservation and were trying to check me in under someone else and run my card under a different name. The hallway to the room was super grungy, dirty musty and dark. Which was a tell tale of the room to come. Which was equally as humid, no matter how much we cranked the AC, complete with ripped curtains, disgusting musty carpet floors, uncomfortable beds and DIRTY SHEETS. SEE PICTURE OF BLOOD/STAINS IN PLAIN SIGHT. The bathroom was dated and gross, had very limited outlets, and the few that we could find outlets didn't work and any appliance you plugged in, just straight up fell out of the outlet it was so loose. No updated USB ports or anything. Bathroom was small, dated and rotted. Ice machines didn't work so that was great for beach preparation as well. The people in guest room adjacent to ours were having loud... Festivities from approximately 10pm until 7am I know because I was forced to listen to the bed creek and headboard bang against the wall all night... called the front desk twice with no resolution. Overall again, most disgusting hotel and would not recommend this to my worst enemy. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE.
Specifically booked for the location to melody tent. That is perfect, right across the street. Though the room was clean, the ceiling was peeling, the tub was peeling and smelled musty. There was a dehumidifier which makes sense at the Cape. It is what it is for going to the show. Beds were comfortable.Rooms: 3/5
This place is a shadow of its former self. It's dirty and run down. The smoke detector in our room expired 20 yrs ago, the toilet was barely attached to the floor, the lock and handle to the sliding doors were broken, and the room was so dusty that we had to call housekeeping to dust the furniture. The hallways were not cleaned of the leaves and dead bugs during our 4 night stay. Apathetic front desk staff. Restaurant only open on weekends. I was there for a weekend event of 250+ people and that was the best the hotel could do. Will attend the event again but stay elsewhere.
Not sure where to begin, Firstly this place is run down! Secondly, go back to the first thing. Ok so to start the bathrooms need a major overhaul , the rooms are set up poorly. Getting to you room with the instructions from the front desk were an absolute disaster if you have any luggage you will find yourself carrying it up and down stairs, and uneven pathways of cracking brick... The signage is very poor all around . Some hallways are extremely hot. Pillows are poor.. staff doesn't understand simple English I had two instances that I don't care to elaborate on. Way overpriced for this place. Hard to find your way to the pool due to poor signage... Basically this is not a place I would ever return to.. you can figure out the rest..
My husband and I were looking for somewhere to go for a spontaneous first anniversary trip after a long year of dealing with constant things going wrong in our lives, we found this place online and went for it. I was nervous at first from the pictures as it is a bit dated but, our stay was more than what we had expected. We had an excellent stay, the restaurant in the hotel was phenomenal, the staff were beyond friendly and personable, and beyond helpful! We had run into an issue with the parking as the tent across the street had a country concert going on and there is a contract for shared parking, and there was a dance competition being held in the hotel, but the NEW owner of the hotel, Tommy came out and moved his truck and gave us his parking space both times! He was very apologetic and spoke about how his guests come first and that shows extreme character and made an impeccable impression! The staff was raving about their excitement and hope for what the new owner has in store for the future of the resort and I cannot wait to see for myself in the future. My husband and I had a wonderful time and this hotel gave us exactly what we needed to relax, getaway and enjoy a great time in Hyannis! We will most definitely be back and look forward to what Tommy will be doing with this hotel.
