Absolutely wonderful spot. This resort is only about 2.5 hours away from our home near Houston but you feel like you are so far away from everything when you're there. The drive down the 3 mile long, curvy and hilly entrances is beautiful and really gives you a sense that you're getting away from it all. When you pull in to the entrance you can just feel that this place is just awesome. Every single staff member we encountered were super friendly and nice. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty to do for everyone. We love the lazy river/pool area. We've been several times to Lost Pines and even when it was 107° degrees, the lazy river feels great. Plenty of shade from lots of trees and the water is cool. We've shot skeet, rode horses, taken nature hikes, the kids did build-a-bear....the place is amazing. The restaurants are very good too. There's something for whatever you're into and plenty of room for large groups. We've stayed in the Governor's Suite every time and it's a great room. Plenty of elbow space, couple of small refrigerators and a very large bathroom in the bedroom. Great place all around and we highly recommend a stay!!
The place is stunning. Unexpectedly breathtaking. Hidden off in the woods a 3min drive down a long Winding road...that opens up to incredible views. The old country feel is warm & well lit/decorated. The staff anticipates your needs and are very efficient with check in and help even carts to take you from the parking lot to front desk...if you don't want to valet. Inside...again...deceptively colossal boasting tons of rooms without looking like it. Outside includes places to relax and engage in intimate activities. You must try it.
It was really good overall. The staff are friendly. The property is gorgeous. You do feel you've escaped being there. I think it's over-priced at $575/ night. They don't give you a dang thing for that expense. Only two bottles of water per room per day. The skeet shooting and horseback and all other activities outside the pool cost extra. They even charge $18/ day to self park. And everything is expensive in the resort. One complaint I do have is the lack of the respect to people who don't have kids. I know this is family oriented. That's great. However, every night kids ran up and down the halls as late as after 11 pm and by 9 am. And they allowed kids to ride scooters in the lobby. At one point I'm dodging kids. There's one space where adults have to go in the whole building to have some downtime called Scribes. I was told by staff that they are allowing children in there now Sunday through Thursday. Just no! I needed some peace for just a bit. They need to keep that an over 21 area. They also need to close the doors so it's even more relaxing. Please consider that not everyone that visits has children. And we deserve a downtime area. Like I said, spectacular place with views of the Colorado River and wonderful lazy River. Just leave adult areas for the adults. Please.
Great resort for families, not so much for couples looking for a quiet getaway. The adult only pool is basically a little lagoon/offshoot from the lazy River. The area is pretty compact so you can’t really find a quiet spot. Positives: Menu prices are more reasonable than other resorts we’ve visited. Staff is extremely helpful. Parking and general layout of the ground was straight forward and easy to navigate.
Enjoyed the golf and the barnyard animals! Room overlooked the stable so that was a lucky plus. Guestroom renovations are very nice, especially the large TV area designed to resemble a cozy fireplace. Opportunities for improvement: 1 please provide a dimmer switch for the glaring but pretty chandelier in the room, so guests can get up early without disturbing others in bed. Also there is a Very Great need for a lamp between the beds, which was missing. 2 please place a privacy divider between the outdoor patios due to close proximity of other guests on their patios. Private chats in pajamas were awkward, to say the least. 3 restrooms between golf holes 5 and 6 were dirty on both 12/12 and 12/13- same trash on the floor in the exact same place on both days. Daily restroom cleaning is an expectation, for goodness sake!! 4 $18/day for guest parking is extremely unreasonable and in fact is in very bad taste. Guests feel like they’re being taken advantage of. Please reduce or eliminate the excessive parking fee. 5 on 12/13 spa hours were posted until 6pm. But upon our arrival at 2:45 pm the spa was closed. Resulting in lost revenue for Lost Pines Hyatt due to 1 inability to make an appointment and 2 we’ll likely question whether we return on a future date due to mismanagement. 6 when 2 guests are booked in guestroom for 2 days, please provide at least 4 creamers for the in-room coffee 2x2=4. Otherwise instead of enjoying a relaxing morning in pajamas sipping coffee, we had to: get dressed, walk to the lobby a 20-min round trip from our room, get creamer, walk back to the room. NOT the relaxing morning we had envisioned while on vacation. Each of these items may sound small to you, and admittedly if we were not on vacation, no big deal. Right?. But when looking forward to a rare getaway as a couple, these things can affect our choice to stay at Lost Pines Hyatt in future. No one likes disappointment and aggravation when they’re on vacation. Hoping Lost Pines Hyatt incorporates these few simple, yet important, recommendations before we stay again. Thank you.
This is the first place I've stayed post pandemic that felt clean and fresh. My room had recently been redone. The lighting was amazing. I don't want to give away surprises but truly something I had never seen. Resort and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Loved the lazy river. Service was spotty. Woman at check in was delightful. Room service was extremely nice but the food comes in plastic containers and is handed to you in a paper bag which was a disappointment. On checkout the woman who stored and later received my bags was fun and efficient. However, the valet left me standing in the hot sun for 15 min before realizing no one had gone to get my car. I would recommend dropping luggage and self parking. It's a walk but much faster than the valet. Overall, I love Hyatt Lost Pines and it was great to be back.
Located in a far-enough away resort with plenty of woods around. Similar to Hilton Anatole Dallas, although much nicer rooms and amenities. Excellent for families looking to stay close to home with the accompanying water park. It is not so much for adults/couples looking to get away as there were many, many children across the resort. Very pleasant staff. Resort fee $40/night per room, $18 self-parking charge with in/out privileges. Horse riding at $150/person. Water park is included with resort fee, will keep the kiddos entertained for a day or two. Local hiking also next to hotel bring long socks and pants. Steep prices for the restaurants on-site. Globalist: upgrades offered if available, free buffet breakfast, no club lounge.
We definitely will be visiting Hyatt Regency Lost Pines again. Our original room key was not working due to a lock malfunction, so the security manager helped us get a new room with an even better view of the property! We enjoyed the NYE 2022 events and activities they had for the kids. Our boys are 7 and 4. I even saw older kids enjoying the resort. There was some construction/renovation going on, but since it was our first visit, we didn't notice what would have been different. We want to visit again during summer to enjoy the pool/lazy river. I loved the decor and functionality of the guest rooms, especially the well use of space for storage. Our kids loved the biking, making smores, bounce house, and seeing the animals at the Coral. I and my 4 yr old loved the Dance Party the hotel hosted NYE night. Everyone we encountered were so friendly.
Spa Django is one of my happy places. The private areas, separated by gender, provide clothing optional sauna, steam, hot tub areas. The women's hot tub is so generously sized, you swim across it. The steam room functions really well. None of that half-steam nonsense here. There is a Vichy shower, regular shower and wheelchair accessible shower. All the facilities including hot tubs and pool are accessible to those with disabilities. Outdoors there is an adults-only mixed gender pool and hot tub wear your suit! overlooking the golf course. The staff are so friendly, the products for sale are high-quality, and the snacks are yummy. If you are not a guest of the resort, you can book a service and enjoy the facilities all day. Alternatively, book a day pass and just hang out; steam, swim, hot tub, repeat. Complimentary juices, teas, coffee, bottled water, mimosas, and wine. Full service salon for hair, nails, and makeup as well as the usual array of facials and massages. I wish I could give them 6 stars.
One of a kind. To start with they got the nicest staff and I want to shout out to the valet guys. They were nice and very helpful. The place is super nice and near. The rooms are big and so clean. I enjoyed my stay there. Will definitely be back
