The Institute for Industry-Education Collaboration is the liaison between industry and higher education. The IIEC seeks to establish relationships with a strong emphasis on economic development.
The Institute for Industry-Education Collaboration (IIEC) is dedicated to providing innovative, relevant and responsive training to a diverse range of businesses and industries. The IIEC seeks to foster the spirit of lifelong learning while enriching professionals in the workforce as a whole.
The mission of the IIEC is to become our region's recognized provider of innovative, measurably effective training/education, specifically designed to enhance the knowledge of employees and improve their processes. The IIEC does this by:
- Providing comprehensive training and curriculum development
- Providing customized training/education to address your technical
needs and the needs of your employees
- Providing hands on laboratory activities that explain and reinforce
theory
- Providing qualified instructors with real-world experience who
understand the technical challenges facing today's workforce
- Providing cost effective training means to better fit your needs
- Integrating and customizing our resources to better fit your
training/education needs
- Opening our state-of-the-art facilities, equipment and software in
industry personnel
•Contract Training/Education- courses can be arranged for groups of
employees.
• Custom Designed Training/Education - custom designed courses that
address specific needs of your company.
• Partnership Training/Education - for small groups of employees, we can
identify other industries with similar needs in order to share the cost.
• College Access - academic courses can be offered at your site or our site
during weekdays (work hours), weekdays (after hours), or weekends.
Participants must meet all academic criteria to enter McNeese State
University as students in good standing.
• Reserved Seating in Pre-Scheduled Continuing Education Classes - seats
in regularly scheduled McNeese Continuing Education classes can be
reserved in advance.
• Distance Learning Training/Education -arrangements can be made to
deliver at our facilities distance learning classes that originate anywhere
in the country for the benefit of your-employees.
• Grant Writing -resources seeking funding to cover training costs,
programs or other needs specific to company needs.
