My son loves coming here! Kids get to get wet and have some fun especially with this hot summer heat. They have restrooms available and tables and chairs for parents to sit while the kids play. With a roof top over us to protect us from the Hot summer heat. The place stops throwing water at 9pm. Which I think it's a perfect timming.
Awesome place to take your kids. The city of Weslaco did a very fine job
It is a nice place to have fun with family on a summer day. The buckets full of water great way to keep cool in a summer day.
Clean, kids had fun in the splash zone. Best way to get them to have outdoor fun... I didnt like that some people parked to have sex. No bueno.
My kids had a great time one of there favorite places free for the public
Played disc golf there, would certainly suggest when they poured the concrete tee boxes, they had done it the right way, not the fast and easy way. The way they are now is elevated just poured on the ground rather than digging them out and a hazard when teeing off. Quick solution would be to bring some fill in and generate a slope around them.
Nice park..Very big, and lots of activities for the kids
Concession stand had not had light in 3-4 days. We couldn't buy hot dogs, nachos, etc. what needed to be in the crock pots. Other than that we enjoyed a game of baseball.
Its dusty, has fire ants, and seems kinda sad. However, I went specifically for the disc golf course and I went in the middle of the day on Friday. They have a 9 hole course that is great for practice. There is no way you can possibly loose a disc here. There are clearly labeled tees and they each have their corresponding numbered baskets. They did not have a map showing the direction to look for the tee, but they are all fairly easy to spot. The only one I had a hard time finding was basket 5 you have to do a 360° turn to spot it. It sends you almost back where you came from by tee #4. If you put your bag down, watch out for fire ants. A few were crawling on my disc when I went to pick it up- give it a good shake off and carry on! For all other park goers there is a beautifully paved and lined path for walkers and runners and there's a nice skate park- both sharing the disc golf area. There are other amenities in the same park but in a different area.
Over all, enjoyed my time disc golfing with friends before sun down. The only concern I had was having to look out to avoid stepping on the many red ant holes around the park.
