Not only was the price great, but the quality of work that was done exceeded expectations. My dining room chairs are now comfortable and I’m proud to show them off. There isn’t much of a store front, or showcase at J&C, but you will find many hard workers just doing their craft. Dropping off, I was having a hard time bringing 8 dining room chairs into the studio and once someone at the shop noticed, everyone stopped doing what they were doing to help out. If I need upholstery work done again, even though it’s a bit of a hike for me, I will be going back to J&C.
J&C did a wonderful job reupholstering my mom's classic sofa. Edwin was very conscientious and did everything he said he would. The end product was just beautiful! In fact, it looked like a new sofa in a lovely Ecru fabric with texture. They exceeded our expectations both in quality and turn around. We highly recommend them. See photos of new couch and what it looked like before... Amazing transformation!
J &C Custom Upholstery did great work on my 40yr old dining room chairs. They replaced the worn cane backs as well as the seat cushions. They look amazing. Wonderful work, reasonably priced in a timely fashion.
There are always hiccups when working with new fabrication shops and with new designers. I'm glad to have started working with J&C. They were pretty responsive while working out detailing and finishing techniques for furnishings. And, they were always friendly when I sprinted into their shop like a crazy person. I hope to continue working with them for years to come.
Friendly, generous, and great craftsmanship on fixing a mid-century chair with a collapsed seat. Honest and fair prices. Looking forward to bring more work to J&C. the pic is a before shot - the chair looks and feels perfect now

Truly beautiful work! I brought in my grandmother’s badly damaged couch to be reupholstered, and I was immediately impressed with the team at J&C - from our first meeting, it was clear that they were both highly knowledgeable and highly capable. They finished work on the couch very quickly and I could not be more pleased with the end product - the antique piece looks completely revived. I highly recommend this company!
We had an excellent experience with J&C! We wanted a couch + an ottoman re-covered with fabric we’d already purchased ourselves. I got three different quotes and J&C was both the least expensive and the quickest turnaround time. We are so thrilled with how both pieces have turned out and we would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for quality re-upholstery at a fair price.
J&C did three pieces for me, a chair slip cover, a piano bench leather seat cover and remaking cushions of an intricate design. The selection of fabric samples was straightforward and simple. The time needed was to complete the work was surprisingly fast. All three jobs were more than satisfactory - quite good in fact. The price was also very reasonable. I would use them again.
I could not have asked for a better experience. They were fast, professional and talented. The fabric was applied perfectly, and the cushions have just the right amount of bounce. I would highly recommend J&C Upholstery, and will definitely call them for my next project.
