I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about working with adolescents and their families. I received my Master's degree from California State University, Northridge in 2013, and have been practicing for more than 5 years.
In working with teens and adults alike, I have found that the best therapy comes from conveying warmth, humor, support and collaboration. My work primarily focuses on treating adolescents (ages 12-18) and their families, as well as young adults, working through issues ranging from self-esteem, motivation, anxiety, depression, and other difficulties facing teens and their families. In addition, I see adults facing personal and interpersonal concerns.
My therapeutic approach integrates the individuals' particular strengths, such as personality, interests and life goals, along with solution-focused techniques. I look at what has or hasn't worked in the past and how can we build from strengths to find solutions. I help empower my clients by exploring healthy patterns through insight and awareness.
I received my Masters in Counseling from California State University, Northridge. I have been working with teens, adults, and families for more than 3 years, providing school-based counseling to junior high and high school students, as well as facilitating treatment groups for teens with co-occurring disorders.
