We love all the Joann’s stores! However, the Methuen team stands out. The manager has done a great job meeting the local quilters needs and motivating the team to enjoy their job and the customers! One definitely gets the feeling of an owner operated location. That’s proof the manager goes above and beyond! We consider the Methuen location The Flagship of Joann’s bringing back that old school customer service feel back to the sales floor! Good work Team!
The JoAnn's near my home in Burlington, MA has been closing at 5 every day due to lack of staff, so it had been a while since I had enjoyed an in store experience due to my work schedule. Last week I found myself at the JoAnn's in Methuen about an hour before they closed. I had such a lovely experience with an associate named Dana! I had intended to provide an outstanding review using the link on my receipt, but I unfortunately misplaced it. However...a full week later I am still thinking about how helpful and professional Dana was. During this time of workforce shortages it is rare to encounter a person of Dana's caliber, and it made me want to shop at this store exclusively, just on the off chance that she might be there to assist me! She scored a perfect 5.0 in all categories and I so appreciated her extra help in making all my purchases she even helped me carry my many, many bags out to my car!. Thanks Dana and thanks JoAnn's!
What's not to love about craft stores if your a crafter. Great store they would have gotten five stars if they had the yarn I was looking for. It was on their website as available. However still a great store.
Perfect for all your arts and crafts needs. Sewing, drawing/painting, scrapbook, sculpey, beading, etc. They also have some home decor stuff and snack foods. Friendly staff. Store is well organized. Make sure you check online or on their app for coupons.

It's been a long time since I went to JOANN's. The fabric choices were plentiful, and fabrics and other items were all sales priced. I found what I wanted and was very happy with my experience in the store.
i recently purchased over $200 of fabric and was told if the fabric did not work for what I was using it for i could return it no problem. Went back 2 days later to return with the same card I used on original purchase. On the back of the receipt it says something like "returns made easy with a smile" So i was no expecting any problems. I got to the store was was told they cannot refund on a debit card and they did not have cash to give me. Offered me store credit. I do not want $200 in store credit. I want the return I was told would be no problem. I was told I would be issued a corporate check that could take 2-4 weeks to receive. Not only was I told the return would be no problem, but they advertised easy returns. No where on the receipt or in the store was I told they could not put it back on my card and would not be able to give me cash. I was told "nothing we can do about it" when I was given the timeline for the corporate check. I will never be back. HIGHLY dissatisfied.
Had exactly what I needed and the staff was very helpful.
Staff is less-than-friendly every time I've visited this location in the past 24mo. And though they're typically all female, they're definitely not as welcoming & friendly as the associates used to be here. It's literally the same 2-3 associates working every time I've run in quickly the past 12mo, and it's always awkwardly quiet in the store 30min before closing the only time I can run out & shop.
Phyllis is so amazing! She gave me five star customer service. I have never been to a JoAnn Fabric store as I am not very crafty. She was helpful and we had many things in common. Shop here. Very nice folks! Tell’em you’re from Bar Harbor Maine.
