Joe T. Garcia's

About

Since 1935, nurturing strong community relationships with delicious food.

Description

Since 1935, Joe T. Garcia’s restaurant in Fort Worth has been filling plates and hearts with the best our family has to offer. We prepare real Tex-Mex food the old fashioned way, with the same recipes passed down for generations. Of course, our spicy cuisine is just half of the experience. Every dining area is designed to be inviting, and the patio is definitely the highlight of the restaurant. This high-walled garden paradise recreates the lush, vibrant ambience of Mexico City in the heart of North Texas.

This was absolutely amazing! I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere. I dined outside in their beautiful patio area. It was adequately shaded. Even though it was warm outside, I did not feel hot. There were birds, but they did not bother me during my meal. The servers are so nice and attentive. I wanted authentic Mexican tacos, and my server helped me to come up with a dish I guess technically, off menu. I got street tacos with beef. I'm always hesitant to get beef because from previous experiences, it's always tough. OMG when I tell you it was THEE MOST TENDER cuts of beef that I've ever had on a taco... mm mm mm. And the portion sizes are so big! I will be having my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I also ordered a virgin frozen margarita with salted rim. The restroom is very clean.
We stopped in for lunch around 1:00 and were immediately greeted, seated, and placed our order. As long-time fans of the dinner menu, we were excited to try the lunch items. We ordered the chicken nachos, steak quesadilla, and pork tamales. The food was delivered to our table in only 7 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh. The grilled chicken and steak were perfectly grilled, tender and seasoned just right. The beans and rice were delicious as always. The chips were perfectly cooked and the salsa was fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive as well. The seating here has a lovely ambience-the outdoor seating is amidst a beautiful garden and the indoor space is nicely decorated too-it feels as though you’re in a movie scene. The food was outstanding as always and a great value-I’m glad we finally tried the lunch items and I look forward to returning for the brunch menu. This is hands-down my favorite Mexican restaurant in the DFW area-I highly recommend it! Parking: Plenty of parking lot spaces, but it can be crowded at peak evening hours.
Took a trip to the DFW area and wanted to try Joe T. Garcia's. Worth the visit. The atmosphere is outstanding. We did eat on the patio. Cash or check only, the do have an ATM on site. We had fajitas and enchiladas. Service was great. Very classy place to eat. My daughter loved the guacamole dip. Best fajitas we have ever had and we like our Mexican food. Cheese enchiladas sauce had to be homemade it was perfect. You will not be disappointed. All kinds of stuff to do very close to this gem.
We did not eat outside longer wait, but is a beautiful place. The inside was the same as what you would find at any other Mexican restaurant. The food did come out pretty fast. My wife and I split the Enchilada dinner. The portions were good. Our server was okay. My wife and I both think it wasn't worth the hype.Food: 3/5
Simply said this is a 5 stars restaurant. "Simply put, this isn't just a five-star restaurant. It's an exceptional dining experience that takes you beyond the conventional rating system. If I could, I'd rate it with an infinite constellation of stars. As for our server Jennifer, she's truly one of a kind. She emanates a unique charm and efficiency that shines brighter than even Jennifer Lopez's stunning beauty and talent - and that's saying something given JLo's legendary status. Both the restaurant and Jennifer exceed all expectations."
Beautiful place with good ambiance and Mexican food. Highly recommended if you are going on dates. Out door seating so would suggest going in the evening. Nice live performer singing songs. Cool decorations and food is worth the money. It's a nice place, so I had to stand in line for almost 20 minutes.Food: 5/5
Yes it strange that it has such a limited menu, but the two or three options were delicious. You can choose from enchiladas or fajitas though I read that you can get fajita nachos and that is what I chose. my nachos were FABULOUS, and honestly enough for two people. I didn’t manage to get a great photo of that. My friends got the fajitas, enchiladas, and of course their famous margaritas. It’s a massive place and really beautiful. We got there early 5:30 pm so we didn’t have to wait at all.
The ambiance is great. Service is superb and the meals are on point. A to go to spot for Mexican experience when in Fort Worth —or just Dallas really. Def getting back there with more friends!!
This has to be the largest restaurant in America. They can seat 1600 people and every space is so much fun. There’s plenty of indoor seating, but make sure to eat outside, even if it’s 100 out. It’s absolutely stunning to sit in any of the garden areas. We went for lunch and you could choose between fajitas and enchiladas. The cheese enchiladas were perfect and the fajitas were cooked and seasoned well. They come with sides of nachos or tacos. And don’t forget the chips and salsa. We also got some sopapillas which were yummy too. If there’s a line, definitely wait because it’s soooo worth it. There’s also free waters in the shaded line for outside and you can order a pitcher of margaritas while waiting for a table too. Vegetarian options: Everything can be made vegetarian. Parking: There’s a huge parking lot and lots of street parking around. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room to roam for large parties or for kids to walk around and get the wiggles out. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp
A very popular Mex restaurant in Fort Worth. Most seating is in the gardens. Every section of garden was beautiful. The service was excellent and the food very good. Disappointing that this was another Mex restaurant that doesn't offer a mild salsa substitute with the chips. My fav restaurant gives us heated Salsa Verde when we ask for it, as I can't eat the hotter salsas usually offered. I posted pics of the gardens because, food is food, it's the atmosphere here that makes this place amazing.
