This is hands down the best family owned shop in the county for all of your silver, gold, and collectible coin needs and wants! I’d wager one of the best in Northern IL. They are also an FFL and provide quick and quality transfers! If you’re not transferring anything in state, they have a great selection of firearms in store for you. I have always received top notch service here and so has every one I know. Please considering visiting this location, you will NOT be disappointed.
Came in and the lady tried to rip me off i said i know what i have is worth and she told me to come back when her husband that grades the coins would be in she didn’t even grade it or really look at it but was prepared to give me a lowball price because she thought i didn’t know any better. So that right their shows she was planning on ripping me off. Then i call to make sure hes there after i had been told he would be there at a certain time. a half hour after they said he would be in and hes not. Then they tell me to call back in an hour i ended up leaving my number for them to call me because i was tired of calling and calling only to find he wasn’t in when they said he’d be. I finally get to talk to the husband who tells me i need an appointment, which was never mentioned the other 3 or 4 times i talked to someone that worked there. Pretty terrible place just out to rip people off that don’t know any better. I had heard good things about this place but this experience shows the truth. Sellers beware
This place was recommended to me by a neighbor/friend because I was looking for a 'Commissioning Coin'. I went in talked to the son & asked for a very specific coin & the son didn't think they had it. Yet the Mom who was working in the back, heard us & came up front to help me. Both of them were SUPER nice & very helpful. The mom I feel terrible because I forgot her name went out of her way to try & help me find what I was looking for. In the end we settled on a coin minted at a certain location w/the year I wanted for the price I was looking for. I will def. go back to their location again.
Great FFL to get your firearms transferred at. They offer fair prices and are very friendly. They have a customer for life out of me. Give them a chance at your business.
The owners are amazing. They treat their customers like they are family. They are honest and fair - whether dealing with precious metals or firearms. We are very lucky to have come across their store. They are undergoing construction right now to expand their space. I hope all current and future customers are patient and understanding of the issues that arise during construction. I would give Kane County Coins 10 stars if I could!
I’ve used KCC&C for their FFL as well as their bullion and coin services consistently over the last two years and have always had great experiences. Incredible knowledge base and genuine trustworthy customer service. Highly recommend and I always look forward to doing business here.
Such nice people to do business with. Husband & wife with cute baby in the back seemed very forthright & honest. I had gold coins I had bought from APMEX years ago that I wanted to sell. I got a quote from APMEX, and the same day brought my coins in to this shop, & they offered a nice amount more. I was happy to sell to them!
Great experience!! Kane county coins and currency is a hidden gem in Elburn. I receive excellent service everytime I shop there. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, they have competitive pricing and lots of inventory. Highly recommended!
Not pleased with my experience. I called and asked if they buy scrap gold. I was told they did. I said that I would come right over. I was told due to some construction around the building call "when you get here and we will let you in". When I arrived "less than 30 minutes later", I called. I was promptly told that they were closed due to the construction. I was on the phone not thirty minutes earlier. They should have advised me they may close. They certainly had the opportunity to call me right back. They did neither. Its just more I don't care about customers that is prevalent in this country now. Its sad because I'm looking for a regular buyer of scrap gold because in my business I see a lot of it.
I needed to sell a few firearms. I tried several area buyers. but Kane County Coins offered the most fair price. i will gladly work with them again in the future.
