Ream's Meat Market

About

We are a full service meat market. We specialize in high quality fresh meats and we make over 150 varieties of smoked meats and sausage.

Description

Since 1954, the Elburn Market has been owned by the Ream family (now Ream's Meat Market). In the 1980's, Bob and Phyllis Ream's son Randy started making more varieties of smoked meats and sausages, and eventually found himself in the National Cured Meat Hall Of Fame. The Market has since moved to a larger location, and is currently operated by Randy, his wife Janelle, and two sons Joel and Stewart.

Quality meat and quality service. Deli counter is always super helpful and takes the time to walk you though all their products. I highly suggest their meat sticks, stuffed chicken breasts and jerky dip.
I was turned on to Reams about 30 years ago while working for Comed it was one of our favorite lunch stops. Brought my wife out and showed her, and have been coming back every other week since then. Today I got some of the Biltong Jerky. If you stop by, don’t forget all the other incredible things there are to eat there. Thanks Randy! And my hats off to your top notch staff. JustSayn
Tucked away in a small rural town about 60 miles west of Chicago, hidden south of a modern intersection sits this bustling gem of a meat store. Paul Conrad from WGN talked about it on a recent podcast and I had to stop by since I was working in the area. The staff was super friendly and explained how to navigate the store. I even got a sample of the Bier Stick. DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely be stopping by a deeper dive very soon
My brother spoke highly of this place so I thought I would give it a try. Went there today and had a great experience. Everyone was very helpful and the employees are on the ball. Definitely worth the price for the service and the quality of meat. I had the smoked salmon for lunch today and it was some of the best I’ve had in awhile.
We went for their meatloaf mix and a couple other items. The unique meats they have as usual ended with us bringing home a little bit more than planned. Think of a nice pork roast stuff a bit of bacon, maple and brown sugars with few spices in it. Then season the outside and you have their Pork Fritzer Roast. That was today's unexpected find.
Love this market! Been going here for years. Went today and bout some elburner beef jerky and some beer sticks. Definitely worth the drive. Have a full meat market all kinds of dried meats. Have good selection of beers and wine. Hotdogs and sausages.
Never had a bad piece meat from Ream's and their brats are fantastic, every flavor we have tried, never leave without a container of their jerky dip.
Best butcher shop in the state. You have to try the brats! The beef jerky is amazing too.
Long lines on the outside early Saturday morning in June. Took only 35 minutes to get in. The smells were worth it. On your first trip ask for a free beef stick at the deli counter. We purchased stuffed flank steaks, Ribeyes, bacon cheeseburgers, burgers, smoked salmon, German wieners, flat breads and chips. So excited. We drove 27 miles to get there after reading great reviews.
Best butcher shop in the area. It is hard not to spend more than you plan to because they just have so much to offer. Their jerky and sticks are second to no one. Worth the trip and the secret is getting out, so don't be surprised if they are busy. Their customer service is fast and courteous. They have weekly and seasonal specials so look out for their deals.
