The Kansas Center for Autism Research and Training (K-CART) at the University of Kansas was established in 2008 with private and public funds to promote research and training on the causes, nature and management of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

K-CART also manages a comprehensive training program: the Autism Training Program (ATP) for professionals and family members of individuals affected by an Autism Spectrum Disorders.
