Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF) is the charitable arm of KCMBA and has worked toward the improvement of both the legal community and the community at large in Kansas City since 1979. KCMBF's mission is to serve the community by creating and supporting public service or educational programs which promote the administration of justice, delivery of legal services, professional development or respect for the law.
In 2012, KCMBF’s Board of Directors approved a signature umbrella charitable program format, Legal Connection. KCMBF’s Legal Connection brings together various organizations and individuals throughout the community through interdisciplinary collaboration and education that initiates meaningful conversations and creates effective solutions to societal issues. Currently there are three Legal Connection programs: Domestic Violence Alliance, Military Matters, and Student Law Academy.
