Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in 1870 as the first greek letter fraternity for women by four pioneering sisters at Indiana's DePauw University. Since its founding, Theta has shaped the college experiences of hundreds of thousands of sisters at our 125 chapters across the United States and Canada.
