We have been members of the Karate America family since the second half of 2019 at first w/ our oldest and now with our youngest child... This program not only teaches our girls to protect themselves, but it encourages them to be confident and motivated to do more! Additionally, the instructors are extremely welcoming and teach classes for all age groups. Definitely worth it! You won't be disappointed...
Great place for both kids and grown ups to exercise. The instructors are wonderful! They promote self confidence, respect, anti bullying, perseverance and a whole lot more wonderful virtues. Great with and for kids! And adults too.
Good martial art school for both kids and adults, flexible curriculum include different styles of self defense and attack, very good instructors. Very recommend!
If you think Karate America is just kicks and punches, think again. When my son was three years old, we started with Karate America, and moved to the Julington Creek location with Mr. Pope about a year later. We have been thrilled with both the school and instructors. The impacts of the skills and discipline he has learned will be so useful as he grows, and nine years later, he is a third degree black belt with confidence and friendships that will last a lifetime. The instructors continue to make learning fun and use real-life examples and goal setting to help kids and adults - I was inspired to try it too! make progress. I am so grateful for our time with Mr. Pope, Mr. Mosier, and the other amazing leaders at Karate America Julington Creek!
Great instructors great program. Family oriented. Rhe coaching staff is the best. I would recommend Karate America to all my friends and family.
Nice instructor but not worth it. He spent half the class trying to control/ reprimand another child that was clearly not ready for this level of class. That student should have been at our after 3x and brought back in after a time out. After that send them home so those who are ready to learn get the value of the class. Also, I'm not an instructor and i don't know correct technique. He had the parents help with training because there were no other instructors to help and the bathrooms were dirty. I had high hopes for this place as it came recommended as an ATA place from our last location before our move. That place was AMAZING! So disappointed!
We love this school & Mr.Pope! The instructors are amazing and positive with the kids. Always happy and engaged. The support is wonderful! Would recommend to anyone in our area! Excellent lessons in responsibility, moral character, self control and discipline.
My daughter did Summer Camp and now does regulate classes. This place is great! She is learning a lot and making good friends. The instructors are encouraging and aim to build strong character in their students. I have witnessed her use her anti bully techniques and I am quite impressed. The progress reports are AWESOME!
We have a child in Tai Kwan Do and my husband and I take Krav Maga, and we have had a completely positive experience. Mr. Pope and his staff are amazing, and my child enjoys her classes. We love that they teach discipline, respect and responsibility along with the techniques, all in a positive, fun environment. Couldn't ask for more!
We are thrilled with Mr. Pope and Mr. Mosier and the rest of the team at Karate America. We have struggled to find activities that our son enjoys and has passion about until now. Within a few weeks we have seen a big change in our son's attitude and demeanor. He loves Karate America and it's the first time he has actually looked forward to an activity.
