Do not go to this campus! I should have listened to the reviews. I swear they are not lying about anything! There were a few times I wanted to give up and you would think they will show you some type of sympathy but NOPE! They can care less... Terrible communication! I’m currently attending a different campus and I am loving it!
Admission counselor was very informative and ready to answer questions . Great learning environment
DON'T ATTEND THIS CAMPUS IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A REAL STUDENT! Signed up for the Masters program while moving to MT.. Not a smart decision, to A Coax a student into continuing his Masters while moving to a remote location Big Sky where theres no service anywhere! Long story short this is a "For Profit School". I was told it'll be great its all online etc, etc what they don't tell you in BIG BOLD letters is that even if you don't do any assignments, discussion's, or even know the Teachers name you'll still be charged a full semester's worth. $5.6K I owe with intrest in collections! Because the school couldn't use their common sense to drop a student that's in BFE not attending. Oh another thing to laugh at hysterically about is the $40K from my BofS in Software is owed for an education, I just showed face for, do attendance and get a degree! B It's been a full year after I graduated and my diploma never came in the mail! Man $40K expense for a paper, and never even got it!
I graduated May 2019. However ,I had a balance with Keiser that I had to pay off before I could receive my diploma. No problem,I set up monthly payments and got it done. Great, now I can get my diploma right? Wrong! I have been calling for MONTHS!! Part of this was when COVID hit so it seems like everyone was working remotely. Okay, I understand. It is now NOVEMBER 2020 and still NOTHING. Whenever I call I get told I need to speak to Jacky in student services. However Jacky is always "off today " or "away from her desk". I called a few days ago and told she was away from her desk and to call back in 10 minutes .I called back and then was told she was off that day??? Horrible services for students.
I loved the classroom setup and class schedule with one class a month. The staff and faculty at the Pembroke Pines campus are helpful and professional. I first started off as a student that lead to my employment with the University.
Please, if you want to do any good for yourself, stay away from this school. The staff are amazing and sweet at first to reel you in! Let me tell you, once you’re hooked and all registered for classes, they forget all about you! Not worth all the money and loans. Take your money elsewhere! It’s a scam.
Amazing school! The Occupational therapy program is amazing. Teachers are really caring and knowledgeable. There's a huge parking lot so u don't have to worry about that. It's expensive but worth it because u don't go there to waist ur time. U can have a profession in 2 years .
By far the worst graduation experience I’ve ever seen. I don’t understand why they simply can’t just tell you. This is the graduation date. Why is that so complicated. The lady who answers the phone is Jaclyn and she’s so rude and absolutely useless.
It is very important to note, before making any decisions to attend Keiser University, that before being a school, they are a business. What I mean by that is that money, in my personal experience with Keiser, has seemed to be the motivator behind having gotten me to sign up in the first place. Aside from the pressure my counselor had put on me to begin with Keiser as quickly as possible, allowing me no time to truly process the full extent of what I was getting into the issue lied in the lack of transparency my counselor provided me in terms of realistically achieving my academic goals. Keiser will be quick to set you up for failure in that they will swiftly encourage you to uproot your major entirely and "just choose another career path" like it's nothing if you even miss one beat even if that one beat was due largely in part to their error. I would like to encourage any student interested in/attending Keiser ESPECIALLY FOR ANY NURSING OR MEDICAL PROGRAM/CERTIFICATION/DEGREE to make sure a counselor runs a background check on you before signing anything in terms of beginning any classes! Anything at all on your background, even from YEARS ago will more than likely cause you to be unable to continue when it comes time for clinical rotations. My counselor who no longer works at the school by the way never did that for me knowing full well it should have been an important step to creating a realistic pathway in achieving my AS. A dean later on down the line tried to downplay this issue with me after I had already been almost 30 credits and whole lot of financial aid into classes at Keiser. This dean told me that what I had signed up for with a counselor initially was a general credits degree and that Keiser typically is not required to run a background check on you for just a general credits degree an AA. Tell me how though, that I still have the original paperwork my counselor “guided” me with which clearly indicates a breakdown of AN ASSOCIATES IN SCIENCE FOR [[[NURSING]]] DEGREE!!! NURSING!!! This means that my counselor should have had enough common sense to say “hey we should run your background check before you could possibly waste any time”. The next excuse was that Keiser’s Pembroke Pines location does not offer nursing classes on campus, so the counselors their would have been unlikely trained to know that a background check should be run before anything when it comes to careers involving nursing. The professors I have had online so far have been excellent! The educators are good… it’s the lack of care from every other angle that has left me extremely unimpressed and ready to transfer to Chamberlain. The nursing core program at Keiser seems excellent and held with high regard, from my understanding, when you become ready to look for employment after making it through… if you can make it, go for it! It’s what I would have wanted initially… but if any of these things I have discussed ring true to you, save yourself the money and frustration and check Chamberlain out. Chamberlain, although a longer program, allows you to choose what hospital you would like to do your core clinical rotations at, whereas Keiser does not. Which would provide helpful to someone in a situation much like myself, in that you could choose a hospital who would accept you even with a minorly smudged background like mine - because lets face it, things happen when you're younger sometimes and you live and you learn. Although at that point, I would encourage you, like I am doing, to expunge your records if you can and see if that provides you with better luck. If I even save the time, effort, and frustration for one person, then my review has done its job… choose your nursing schools wisely guys! I give this school 3 stars because it would be unfair and rather biased of me to rate with a 1 simply due to my personal experiences. Again good school, just awful guidance.
Here is an update after been studying 4 years in Keiser University. At this point of my career as student I feel competent to give you a briefly over view in how is the school in general and what could be the thing you should it void as student. As you can see below, I left a very strong review of that professor, and as a result of it the owner contacted me and took care of the situation very well. I am proud of being a Keiser Student. However, today I want to go about Irvin Heard. The situation is Irvin Heard in the current position of Keiser University's Dean understands is correct to hangout the phone 2 times on me. He refuses to address his attitude towards the students and lie to them, by telling them there is nothing he can do until the student proves him wrong. That professor lacks professionalism in many ways. Starting with the lack of self control. In addition, he carries a strong attitude all the time and constantly treats people like he is more important than anybody else. He does not let people talk on the phone and constantly interrupt them. I totally believe this professor needs to understand he represents a private college and needs to behave professionally and kind at all times to anybody regardless the school level of that person, treating everyone with dignity and respect at all times. The Professor Irvin Heard will do everything he can to not help you. This professor does not carry mentoring, teaching or training skills. He is arrogant and no professional. The school deserve 5 stars, but this Professor 0. If you have a class with this professor which do no deserve that name, because is unable to help, assist and mentor. Like a real professor would do! Just drop it, she is awful. She will never teach you or help you in anything, all she would do is question you, instead answering your questions. Dr Anne Marie Fowler. Defenely a bad experience!
