Taking the next step toward your educational or career goals can sometimes seem overwhelming, so the Center of Adult and Veteran Services makes it a little easier. We provide support and information to assist you in transition to college and throughout your education at Kent State University. You’ll receive personalized, comprehensive support tailored to your needs, whether you are entering college for the first time or returning after a career in business or service in the armed forces.
Services Available:
• Adult Student Orientation- This one credit hour orientation course helps adult students adjust to the academic environment and add the role of student to their other life responsibilities. This course meets the requirements for the First Year Experience Course and is valuable to all adult students new to KSU. Contact the office for more information.
• General academic advising and assistance.
• Career Guidance
• We provide an updated list of local child care providers, and an environment to help single parents or families deal with both the personal and academic issues faced in college.
• Campus involvement, such as the KSU Vets Club
• Any other additional referrals or resources students may need assistance with
