The Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University is one of the most distinguished schools of music in the Midwest. The school offers a wide variety of opportunities for both music majors and nonmajors through our courses and ensembles. In addition, the school hosts the Kent/Blossom Music Festival, among the most respected summer professional training festivals in the country.

MUSIC EDUCATION
Music education is a vital and central part of the School of Music at Kent State. With in-depth preparation and exposure in pedagogy and musicianship, our students are eager and ready to embark upon the field of teaching. Graduates are employed at schools across the state of Ohio and across the country.
Concentrations in performance and composition are also available and include study with our distinguished applied and academic faculty. Our applied faculty includes members of the prestigious Miami String Quartet.
The Kent Campus, with an enrollment of more than 28,000 students, is located in culturally and musically rich Northeast Ohio, within easy driving distance of many metropolitan areas.
