There’s a small general store in Vermont with a motto that always made me laugh. “If we don’t got it, you don’t need it.” And when it comes to furniture, I think Furnitureland South can easily make that claim. But even though anyone who comes here already knows this store is the largest furniture store the US, it’s impossible to adequately prepare for why 1.2 million square feet of furniture means. It’s simply overwhelming and more than is possible to see. Which is why they’ll tell you to prioritize and work with a specialist to find what you’re looking for. But even with that understood, there’s a reality you’ll need to accept before you shop here and that’s that much of what you will see isn’t available. We all know supply and transportation issues are a problem right now, but a lot of what this place has is special order with waiting times exceeding 6 months, and typically longer. There is an outlet shop with floor models that are immediately available as well as a small selection of things that are stocked, and it’s worth picking these over for deals. But that can take a day or more by itself and you might still discover that what you’re looking for will only be special order and months away. That’s not unusual from any store right now but it’s worth knowing when you come here. Still, the service is great, the quality is terrific, and the selection is simply unparalleled. So be prepared, and build a relationship with a salesperson who can keep their eyes open for you.
Choices, choices, and more choices. If you can’t find it here, you’re just not looking. Put on your walking shoes—this place is beautifully massive. Need help? FLS has awesome designs who work with you with YOUR style. Jolean Crotts is FABULOUS. We love so many of the items we selected—both ordered and via “instant gratification “ in the Outlet.
We have purchased furniture from our home twice and both times the experience was excellent. The plethora of quality furnishing options should satisfy almost anyone. We worked with the same design consultant, Grace Williams, both times. Not only does she have a great eye for design, she listened to our needs and made constructive suggestions based on those requirements and also working within budgetary parameters. If you are considering any furniture purchase, head over to Furnitureland South. Your investment of time and money will be well worth it.
My husband and I arrived at Furniture Land South looking for a specific shape and size dining room table. We were immediately greeted by Taylor and Jayson who offered to take us to all the tables on the floor. They knew exactly where to take us and were very knowledgeable about the manufactures. After picking a table they helped us with fabric choices on chairs. They were so patient and helpful. Their customer service was the absolute best. After we made our purchase they have continued to help us make our dining room the one we are dreaming of!! They have followed up often and have made this such a great experience. We will definitely be buying furniture from these two again!!!!
I had a great experience passing through this weekend. Stopped in at the outlet center and was met by Jodi C. who was very friendly and explained the massive campus to me. She allowed me to shop at my leisure, no pushy sales. I found a piece I liked, messaged her since I did not have time to return to the store. She quickly answered my questions and completed the sale in a timely manner. So happy we stopped in to "browse". Good quality furniture at great prices. Can't wait to go back with more time and no kids!
Over 20 years ago we bought furniture from Furnitureland Sound and had the best experience. Now all these years later, we went there again to furnish a whole house and the experience was above and beyond! Our Design Consultant, Janice Booker, was the absolute best. She was super knowledgeable, helpful and very personable. After discussing with her what our taste in furniture was, she took us all through their huge store and we found everything and then some. She really listened to what we wanted and was not pushy at all as that is a real turnoff for us. I highly recommend Furnitureland South and Janice Booker!
I have used FurnitureLand South to furnish most of my home. The quality of their furniture is exceptional but what I love most about them are their people! Tim Shepherd is our designer and is helpful, accommodating and gracious! He is very patient with us as we find just the right piece for every room. Their delivery team is careful in my home, kind and very professional. I love this company. I have used them for 17 years and will continue to buy my furniture, lamps, pillows & rugs with them!! They are the best.
I’ve been quite disappointed with my experience so far. I’ve encountered problems at every turn. First, our salesman made a mistake with our total and called me the next day to pay more money. It was his error and not the price we agreed to. Next, I received a phone call two days before delivery saying that the pillows that go with the sectional were lost, but they said not to worry— the sectional would still be arriving and they would call me about the pillows in ten business days. Next, after receiving multiple emails and phone calls scheduling and confirming a shipping date, the day before our scheduled arrival, a representative called me to say it was no longer coming. She didn’t volunteer the information of why or when the new arrival time would be nearly a month later. But yet they are still delivering 2 of 3 small tables I ordered…. Makes no sense to me. Such a disappointment after a long awaited trip to a store with a good reputation. I’m sad I didn’t have the experience I expected. Now I’m just waiting to see if my sectional will actually arrive and if the pillows will ever show up. I would have been better off buying local.
I will not give any star to this company but only a big zero for its lack of customer service on a defective sectional sofa. They would not let me post is I did not select a star. For a month I have been trying to get it repaired and am told that it is within manufacturing standards. So sitting on a lump/lopsided sofa is acceptable to them but not to me on a brand new sofa!
We were very pleased with our sales person Maddie Evans and our delivery guys Dustin and his colleague. They did an outstanding job!!! They even contacted Customer Service immediately regarding an issue on one chair and the defect dining room table top. Karen from CS was also very efficient. Apart from the defective table top it was a great experience. Many thanks!!!
