2. The people in your gym become like a second family. The CrossFit community acts as a support group; when you are feeling winded or out of shape they will cheer you on and help you keep going. We all remember how it felt in the beginning. Great friendships are created and you look forward to seeing your gym mates, plus they hold you accountable.

3. Many people base their success or failure on the scale. This relationship can lead to an unhealthy connection with food and self worth. CrossFit gives you more performance based goals that allow you to let the scale go. When we let go of our obsession with weight and focus on performance goals, great things happen.

KJ has been such a blessing! Moving to Colorado I knew it would be tough to find a new gym even comparable to our “home” gym in FL. But KJ has some of the friendliest people, and coaches that take the time to get to know you. There’s a variety of classes, 7 days a week.
This place is awesome! I am new to CrossFit, and the coaches and members here are all great. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming and quick to help out. There's also a focus on form and safety. Can't recommend highly enough!
What a wonderful community, owners and coaches! I felt welcomed in as a first time CrossFit’er and have been enjoying every workout since. Every coach is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. I have been thoroughly impressed with how well all of the coaches accommodate varying levels of experience in their classes. Getting results and having fun doing it. Highly recommended!
When I moved here and went to check out KJ CrossFit I was greeted right when I walked in and felt welcome immediately. I quickly discovered everyone there was welcoming and encouraging. Feels like family. I’ve been involved in CrossFit for 6 years and I’m picky about programming. Kristy and all of her coaches are extremely knowledgeable and talented. They know how to identify where you are in your fitness journey and coach to that, not only in one on one PT, in classes too. I’ve learned, grown and improved on my many bad habits since I started working out at KJ. Thank you Kristy & Jeremy!
The KJ CrossFit team is amazing. Great coaches! What I love most is it is good for all levels of people from beginner to CrossFit athlete. I have seen such personal improvement both mentally and physically!
TL;DR: A great place to begin or continue a journey to a better life. I'm an older guy 50 with typical older guy problems and no history of playing sports or working out -- let alone CrossFit -- before starting at KJ in early 2021. I started at KJ to support my son as he ramped up for Navy boot camp. It's been over a year now and I'm at KJ four or five days a week, doing CrossFit, StrongFit strongman/woman stuff, and Olympic Weightlifting. So I came here for somebody else, but stayed for myself. I'm still that older guy and this is still hard work, though. I scale workouts most days, but the coaches are ready with ideas for how to keep that challenging, and they drive me just as much as they do the amazing athletes that have been here a while. And that covers the community and the overall experience here -- we push and encourage each other, again and again, until it's over for that day, at least and we can't believe what we've accomplished. This sense of satisfaction started me actively thinking about how to align the rest of my life for better results. This led me to fix my diet and sleep habits, which in turn led to better workouts and opportunities beyond exercise that I couldn't have predicted. Now I'm in the best shape of my life and I'm not done, and I owe it to the people at KJ and one simple rule -- show up and do your best, whatever that is. If all that sounds like your thing, I recommend you come here and do what I did. As for my son, he's now a corpsman medic in the Navy, on his way to working with the Marines and a career in medicine. My daughter is headed for the Navy in four or five more years and is already joining me at KJ a few days a week. I can barely keep up with her sometimes, and I don't mind.
Mylena was the coach when I attended my first day of free trial. She was really great to walk me though each movement and modified the movements I couldn’t do yet. Will be going back!
KJ CrossFit has become one of my favorite places, the coaches have established a community where I automatically felt welcomed and cared for, we all bond over becoming our best healthy selves. I feel stronger and healthier and I thank the amazing and supportive coaches and members! I have seen a difference within myself strength wise and my mentality and that was made possible at KJ Crossfit. I am so glad I committed to this gym and to this journey!!
I was new to CrossFit when I started at this gym and I was super intimated to try the sport. The coaches and community at KJ are amazing. The coaches pay close attention to form and keeping everyone safe. For new movements, they take the time to teach and never made me feel silly for asking questions. Their support continues to push me to achieve new personal records in a fun and safe way. The rest of the community there is supportive, inclusive engaging, and always cheering each other on! Such an amazing time. I have been going for over a year and a half and still LOVE it. It continues to be challenging and I am amazed at the results. Highly recommend!!!
I was extremely nervous about joining a CrossFit gym without any prior experience, but the entire community at KJ was so warm and welcoming that it made the decision to join the gym easy. The trainers are great at modifying workouts to fit individuals' needs and are super attentive and helpful when it comes to ensuring proper form. Great workouts, great variety of training, great team- highly recommend.
