A wonderful camp host/owner. A long way off I-10 on US90. Sites are gravel, utilities good. I had a pull thru site 8 which had a small tree hanging towards the road making it a back out site for a class A after dropping the towed. Not a big deal.
Showers stuffy, no ventilation, washer dryer rarely works, pool never maintained nor opened was a long term guest no store items, road muddy with holes. Cabins ha! No amenities
Great place to view nature, right in the middle of town, including a bass pond for fishing, migrating seasonal bird watching, and a warm welcome. Pool and cabins, RV spaces, and primitive pond side camping spaces too. Close enough to walk to two Mexican Restaurants, and so much more!
Stayed 1 night passing through. The gentleman in the office was very nice and helpful. Mostly residential campers. Needs a good clean up. A lot of weed eating and grass cutting needs to be done. Pond is all grown up. Lots of junk needs to be picked up. However, having said all that, we felt safe and everyone we encountered in the park were very nice.
This place is 80+% permanent residents with shabby trailers and junk piled all over the place. There is no concrete or asphalt and when it rains, it is one big mud hole. Every single washer and dryer is broken down. The showers and bathrooms are dirty and run down. It's a real shiz hole! I paid $25 50% off with Passport America and feel like that was more than it was worth. Would suggest trying some other place.
The place is improving. Was passing through during Covid-19 and the place was clean, neighbors respectful and friendly. A work in progress but still a pleasant stay. UPDATE: 5 stars. I have stayed here multiple times on my travels and it's always a pleasure. The owner is a good guy who could tell you stories of the place when he was a kid. Don't forget to check out the restaurant up front!
It's a campground, the place is acceptable for an overnight spot on the way to a nicer campground. It was opened in the 1940s and it shows. There's a bathhouse and a pool. The pool was honestly disgusting, the bathhouse was adequate at best. The host was there after hours so there's that. He put us in a spot he knew the electric didn't work. With some work the place could be nice but it's run down and in need of repair but like I stated we were weary travelers in need of a port and it was quiet and we felt relatively safe . Most likely not coming back but in a pinch after a day of traveling...
Randy and Lea do a great job of running their RV Park . It is well maintained and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much. Nice pool, laundry house and community room to gather. I enjoyed the walking trail that was mowed through the woods and around the pond. Our only complaint was asking for a drive through and not getting one. Otherwise, our visit was great and we plan to go back. It is like being in the country but close to beach and beautiful downtown Bay St Louis Ms.
Love this place...best camp ground I've stayed at
Spent a night here in my tent while passing through MS on my way to Florida. My little tent site was beautiful...on a small pond with electricity, a picnic table, chair swing, and shelter. The locals were welcoming and really great company. We had some good conversation and lots of laughs. I am glad I found this place and would definitely stay again if I'm in MS. Great shower and laundry room too.
