Very nice County Park. Sites are level concrete pads with full hookups, patio, and picnic table. Many of them are right on the river. Good areas for pets and kids. Bathhouses throughout the park. This is a very pretty setting, and Lazy Magnolia Brewery is close by. There is no WI-FI. Dumpster location only one is a bit inconvenient, especially if you are trying to dump trash on the way out after hitching up. Overall, great place to camp.
I love this park but, they need to do something about the people who have more than 2 vehicles at their site. The guy across the street from us had so many cars, we had to ask twice for him to move so we could pull into our site. FYI, we had only 1 vehicle. The guy to our left had a bus and 2 trucks with trailers. The parked so close we could not use that side of our picnic table. The 2 sites behind us had multiple vehicles, boats and trailers. Plus a bunch of drunk truly profane women at 3:00 in the afternoon. There is a huge parking lot at the boat launch. It is in walking distance. Why not ask them to park all these extra vehicles there? Also, charge extra for more than 2. I love the access to the water, proximity to lots of attractions and price. But...I will think twice next time.
Great campground, good price, nice mature trail. Close enough we are going back again this weekend.
Great place to camp. Although it gets Very busy during summer! So many people and loud music and so many golf carts you can’t really drive! Boats are everywhere. Splash pad and nice playground. Nice nature trail. Stray cats everywhere also.
Wonderful place to take the family! Restrooms are super clean and there's plenty play areas for kids of all ages.
Spacious park with a nice long pull through pad. Turning out of our site was a little challenging as a 90-degree turn was required insufficient paved flare turn out. Had an over or under voltage on the 50 amp plug so stepped down our amperage to 30 recommend a voltage/surge protector/detector.
We camped at the newer section R38. We had a good time. They do need to trim down the weeds by the cliff because it's starting to block the view. My biggest things I didn't like was there was no shade for most of the day. And so much sand. It was neverending sweeping. Restrooms: Restrooms were kept very clean!
Upon arrival the campground was at full capacity plus some! Since it was a holiday weekend everyone was having a great time visiting with friends. Even though it was extremely boisterous, most campers were cognizant of others and no issues arose other than i had no internet connectivity for some odd reason. But, I really like this campground. But I will advise, if at all possible, refrain from sites 12 - 14 and 24 - 28 unless you are prepared to know your adjacent campers quite well. My reference point is site 13 and site 25 have only 3 inches of actual ground between the rear of the sites; they are practically adjoined at the rear of each pad making it extremely difficult to maneuver the rear of your camper if it's at the very back of the pad. Other than that ... enjoy your time there because it's a beautiful place!
Loved this place! The trail was awesome and peaceful! Would love to go camping there, it looks really nice Playground: Playground has a splashpad!
This is a nice state park and the rates are decent compared to other states pricing. The roads are all paved and most sites have a concrete pad. BEWARE of sites 43 to 57 if you have a large RV. It will be difficult to get parked if you have a big RV. We have a 42 ft long 5th wheel and we chose site 49 along the lake and it was extremely difficult to back in. Fortunately we arrived during the week and the park is almost empty, but the weekends turn into party central with multiple cars at individual sites with some on the roads!
