One of the best massages I have had to date! I was debating between a few places to go but the photos of Kohler looked amazing and guess what? It was! I booked the golfers massage online and I actually had to change the day which they were incredibly nice and flexible about. I even received a slight refund when I switched days. I arrived about 20 minutes before my massage, received a short tour and was told I could use the steam room or showers beforehand. I hadn’t packed a swimsuit with me so wasn’t able to use the pool but did take a peak in the area and it looked amazing. The locker rooms are modern and clean, there’s a robe and slippers in your locker. Love a good robe moment. I sipped on lemon water while I waited for my masseuse in their waiting area. When I went back for my massage she gave me the low down, we talked pressure and I explained that I have some shoulder mobility issues is one arm which she was very attentive to. I really can’t say enough about how great this massage was. She also gave me some advice for my stuff shoulder afterwards. Then I went to a relaxation room to drink more water, did a quick steam and shower and was on my way!
We checked into this spa for a day last week, to get a little rest while our baby spent the day with her grandparents. The staff are all so accommodating and lovely and the facilities are amazing! We loved every minute and didn't want to leave. I also had a pedicure, my first ever, and it was a lovely treatment, my feet still look and feel great and the lady who did the treatment was so kind and friendly. Lunch at the spa cafe was also to die. We've agreed to make this a biannual outing, to recharge our batteries and enjoy some alone time as a couple. This is definitely the best spa I've been to in Scotland
This spa was really luxurious and I would highly recommend it. My partner and I booked in for the blissful moment package, which includes a 25 minute back massage or facial, one course lunch, and use of the spa facilities. We were looked after well from the beginning and had use of a comfy robe and slippers for our time there. Whilst waiting for our treatments there was access to tea, coffee, water and fruit. My massage was one of the best I’ve had. The massage table was heated and I was given the choice of which oil could be used. I was shown to the deep relaxation after where I lay on a lounger under a comfy blanket with some water. There was also dried fruit you could help yourself to. After our treatments we went for lunch in the spa cafe. Unfortunately this is where the day was let down. The cafe was quiet, but we waited 20 minutes for our sandwiches. Also there were no drinks, not even a soft drink, included in the package so had to pay £3.40 for a can of Diet Coke. The sandwich was average and the salad that came with it very salty. The environment was not relaxing as we could hear the kitchen staff talking loudly through the open hatch between the dining area and kitchen. Thankfully the day improved with use of the spa facilities. We made use of the pool, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, and hydrotherapy pool. The changing rooms are well equipped for the end of you stay with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and GHD hairdryers and straighteners. I’m hoping we’ll be back!
I cannot recommend the spa highly enough. I went for the Blissful Moments package recently and loved every second from start to finish. This is a spa that really focuses on the customer journey and looks after you at every step. I was warmly welcomed by the reception staff when I first arrived. They showed me around, explained everything and were beyond lovely. I started off with a 25 min back, neck and shoulder massage. My therapist Shona was brilliant and the massage was one of the best I’ve had, it felt totally tailored to my needs. The other spa facilities are great especially the cosy post-treatment relaxation room - the little snack bar is a nice touch. I spent the rest of my visit relaxing in the hydrotherapy pool and steam room before a delicious lunch in the spa cafe. The whole experience felt like complete luxury, I can’t wait to go back.
Clean and spacious facilities, but quite basic for what we paid £50 per person for to access for a couple of hours - some kind of food/drink offering included would have made it feel like better value. We found it a bit odd that the hydrotherapy pool jets rotate on and off and spent a good while just in warm water assuming it was broken before it came alive and we realised how it worked and we weren't the only guests confused by this when we were there. The entrance door closest to where we parked was labelled the 'golfers' entrance' which also caused a bit of confusion - we didn't realise it was also to access the spa until we wandered in to find signs.
Did weights in the fitness centre then SPA golfer's 80min relaxation massage then swim and steam. Staff were brilliant, customer service top notch.
Very calm and tranquil. Fabulous service throughout with happy helpful staff..my feet feel amazing after my pedicure
Really good Spa. Species and a lot of treatments are available.
I recently spent the night here in one of the standard rooms. Everything is as you'd imagine it. Valet parking, exquisite lobby, luggage assistance, every member of staff in ultra professional mode. The hotel is beautiful in every way, leaning heavily on its name and proximity to the famous golf course of the same name. We were offered a reception drink on arrival which was a nice touch. The rest rooms had indivisible individual cotton hand towels, and a beautiful whiskey and water hand soap and cream. The room itself was quite a let down. Everything looked very classy, but the room was busy beyond belief with useless flourishes, drapes, a mirrored wall, floor standing lamps, intruding chests of drawers. It was just crowded. The lighting was nothing short of terrible. There was no "main" light, and instead, you had either dark, less dark, and barely lit choices. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with the only problem being that there were enough pillows on it for a small village. Breakfast was lovely, though the noise levels in the restaurant were excessive. I did not try any of the other restaurants as I was only there for an overnight, but if they were anything like the breakfast restaurant, that would be no bad thing. Ultimately, the hotel did not meet expectations. Considering the cost, I cannot rate this above three stars.
What an amazing experience. We had a fantastic spa day here. Treatments were amazing, food to die for and service impeccable. Will definitely be back!
