I just left Krystal Acres and had such a fun time. Gabrielle was working in the front and was awesome and very patient with my daughters. A Taylor Swift song was playing in the background and we struck up a conversation about her recent epic tour, and Gabrielle very sweetly told the girls all about the show she'd just been to. The kids were STOKED the whole way home they're still talking about it as I write this. Gabrielle also did an great job answering my questions about Alpaca wool, Alpacas in general, and about items in the shop. The shop itself was great and had so much cool stuff. My mom knits and so we were interested in the yarn selection, which was great and well priced. They also had a great selection of fun Alpaca themed stickers for the kids. The big highlight was of course feeding the Alapacas. You can feed them from a $5.00 bucket of hay, or a $6.00 packet of pellets. The pellets are a special treat and they slightly prefered them. They're also more fun to feed with because they eat them out of your hand which doesn't result in too much slobber. Both lasted longer than I expected and for our family of four it was enough to get one of each. Parking was plentiful and easy, and the drive was only about 15 minutes from Friday Harbor. It's a good stopping point if you're making your way to or from Roche Harbor. We'd definitely recommend checking it out if you have young kids, or are kids at heart.
Nice little spot, cute farm, fun little boutique shop with a few different alpaca/llama wool options and decor. $5 for hay to self feed the alpacas. The kids really liked it. Some of the alpacas are not interested or hungry but they were all very friendly. Well kept and clean. Would recommend if you are doing a tour around the farm
The alpacas are adorable and so well tempered. We had a blast hand feeding them hay. The store had beautiful knit goods. Give yourself plenty of time before closing time at 4 p.m. to enjoy the farm, alpacas, and store
Don't forget stop to pet and feed the cute alpacas. The oldest alpaca is known to live 26 years. This farm had one live to be 24 years old.
Lovely little alpaca farm and shop. They have feed you can purchase to hand feed the animals. The shop has lots of options, to higher priced articles of clothing and smaller gifts like postcards and even cat toys!
Stopping by this farm was a great time, very friendly alpacas and a lot of fun. They definitely prefer the grains over hay
This place has great fun, you can buy the treat in the gift shop and we got there around 3pm, most of alpacas are not interested in the treat but there are still some of them interested in it. Their fur is so soft. There is a gift store that sells different kind of stuffs made by alpaca wool. I believe children will love them!
We had a wonderful time on our tour of the The Farm at Krystal Acres !! Our two young guides were very knowledgeable about the alpacas and were well-prepared for any of our questions. It was a fun experience to feed the alpacas and hang out with them in the large enclosures. I was excited to meet a little white alpaca with rare blue eyes who is aptly named ''Blue". All the alpacas were beautiful and quite docile. The farm has quite a variety of colors in their alpaca residents and is home to babies as well as quite elderly ones I believe one or more is over 20 years of age. Gift store had lots of lovely treasures to purchase. Truly a wonderful morning on the farm.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect here but was pleasantly surprised. You aren’t in the pen with the Alpacas and they only come up when they think you have food, but they are super cute and we had fun just watching them after we ran out of food. The gift shop has some great items and sells food 1 bag per family $6. Even in a drizzle of rain we had a good time.
Nice place to hang out with these cute little alpacas. You can even buy some food and feed them - priced at 6$. They do not bite while feeding but rather it’s a ticklish feeling on your hands. You can only feed a few select 5-6 alpacas. The remaining are not accessible to the public.
