The food was really good! Dishes are on the small side, so keep that in mind. Service was pretty slow and drinks were average. The atmosphere is great and very authentic. We had a good time, dampened by the slow service and small plates however. It was still nice to get a taste of Albanian cuisine!Food: 4/5

This place is so worth the hype. We had an amazing time. The service was excellent they did not let our water go below halfway. Every dish we got was amazing! Would highly recommend and would definitely go back. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or group celebration! Left super satisfied.Food: 5/5

Truly enjoyable dinner at a charming restaurant that left a lasting impression. Lovely atmosphere, soft lighting, cozy seating, and tasteful decor that exuded elegance.  Exceptional service provided by our waitress that truly elevated the evening. With a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, she guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring our every need was met. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor created a welcoming and relaxed environment, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the delightful dining experience.

What a great first experience with Albanian food! The dips, the bread, the entrees… all perfect. We shared two entrees and two dips between two ppl and it was just the right amount of food.  All served at a good pace for a relaxing night out. If it’s nice, ask to sit in the back patio!Food: 5/5

great place! from the entrance, my attention was to the interior design - it's a small museum. someone did a sensational job, you can feel for a moment like in the balkans, everything is complemented by regional music! the place is very clean, neat and cozy!!!! the service is very nice,  don't be afraid to ask for the menu, I'm sure they give you good advice! the kitchen is great, my only regret is that I don't have room for the baclave!!! I think it's a good date restaurant

The best Albanian food and restaurant in the area.  The hospitality represents the deep Albanian culture and Ornela is amazing in helping her guests are comfortable.  This place is is a hidden gem in New York. A must visit if you like Albanian food or want to try something new. Sort of like home away from home.. their deserts are amazing and so is the Albanian coffee.  Definitely will be visiting again. Absolutely brilliant Albanian Restaurant! The vibe, service and food were all great! Our favourites were the mixed grill platter and the Mantia! This place also has the best Baklava I have ever had! I strongly recommend getting a reservation here for intimate hangouts or datesFood: 4/5

Amazing Albanian  spot!  Great food selection and I definitely recommend their fasul with smoked meat and as for as drinks go, my personal recommenation if you kike a smokey mezcal taste is the your majesty! Absolutely loved it, was the one that called out the most from the menu.The interior looks amazing too! Love the decor with my personal favorite being the alley between the outside garden and inside dinning. The staff was super polite! with such an amazing staff this spot is easily a gem! Definitely recommend for a date night!

Took a friend from Albania here tonight for her birthday and she was so surprised! The staff was so accommodating and friendly.  Took extra time  to help me choose menu items I wasn’t familiar with.  My friend from Albania was super impressed with the authenticity of the food. Everything tasted amazing. From the roasted red pepper dip and fresh baked bread to the stuffed pepper and kofte I believe it’s called as well as desserts tres leches and baklava! Definitely a special place for a special day. A piece of Albania in NYC , and a wonderful reminder of home for her. Thank you so much!

My favorite Albanian restaurant in NYC — OK, it’s the only Albanian I’ve ever eaten at!  The sign on the outside of the restaurant says “Mediterranean,” and it turns out Albanian food resembles elements of Turkish and Greek cuisines.  When I moved near the UN after a 30 years on the Upper West Side, my restaurant center of gravity changed, too. One of the places I end up going to at least once a month now is this wonderful restaurant with the unpronounceable name at the edge of Curry Hill.  I go so often because the food is terrific with friendly, knowledgeable service and great location. But I also go because when I ask people what they want to eat — Thai, Indian, sushi, Chinese, etc — they mull over the options, but when I mention Albanian, they want to try that. Turns out that for every one of the many people I’ve brought, Albanian is a cuisine they’ve not tried before. And they end up loving the food and the experience.  Everything is delicious, but what I get most often: pickled cheese pepper non-spicy pepper stuffed with cheese dip and sausage dip; one of the clay pot dishes usually eggs and lamb and the whole branzino. The freshly baked bread comes hot hot hot and goes perfectly with the dips.  They have good cocktails and while they don’t have Albanian beer, they do have Albanian wine.  My friend Dan says it’s like an ad to get folks to want to travel to Albania. Hope the tourism bureau is grateful for CKQ!  The photos here are from two different meals. Lunch for two outside and a group business dinner in a quieter area in the back.
