Really love this gym compared to the other la fitness! the down side is no sauna/steam room, however the staff here a great and friendly! i noticed the people who go here are very supportive and chill definitely met very nice people here! if youre into that old school bodybuilding gym aesthetics this gyms for you! One thing i can say forsure is this is the cleanest La fitness ive been too and majority of people respect the dumbell rack unlike other la fitness.. Roberto is top notch you will never see him not clean!
William and Michelle are an amazing duo. I called earlier this week about a Corporate Rate for our employees. William answered all of the questions I had besides helping me with what I was looking for. On top of that, him and Michelle came to me in order to make sure all my questions were answered and how they can further assist me and my team to get the ball rolling. I truly appreciate the time, thoroughness and overall positive experience William and Michelle provided throughout our engagement.
If you ever wondered what it was like to work out back in the 70’s come here most of the people that work out here have been doing so since the 70’s as well. Has serious retro vibes not that it’s a bad thing. I didn’t actually work out here because it was too old but a good reminder to appreciate the other gyms.
If L.A. Fitness wanted to market this gym, they should call it an L.A. Fitness Express. This gym “has” what you need to get a basic workout in. But machines are limited and there aren’t lots of options. However it’ll still get the job done. The people there are super kind thou and generally the space is always clean. They do have courts and a huge open room and ample cardio equipment. Parking is plentiful. Hint: Park on the street is better than parking in the lot.
Extremely disrespectful staff including the manager Monica and employee named Alex. I got a guest pass and was denied access from them, then they thought it would be a great idea to solicit me for a membership by calling, texting, and emailing me for 2 months!! And when I called Alex to remove me from their call list and he hung up on me very rudely. Overall, any district or regional managers should teach these guys some customer service.
Take it or leave it. During non-busy times, like from say 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., this gym is a ghost town. Easy to get on whatever machine you like using. The pros are that it's easy to get a workout in and not have to wait around for machine. Cons... the equipment is dated. Some might say that it's not ergonomically friendly. For instance, the Smith machine that replicates a bench press puts you in such an awkward position at the launch. Your hands are so far pinned back, that it might be awkward to push out the weight to get the initial first rep in. I didn't much care for their version of the chest fly machine either. Forget about taking a shower at this place. There are no individual stalls or anything. It's just one communal shower, kind of like a high school gym locker. No privacy whatsoever. The entire locker room area is very small and tiny. In summary, this place was the highlight of racquetball pre 1990s. LA Fitness took this gym over somewhere in the mid-90s. It hasn't changed much. It's a dumpy little building with its pros and cons. If you just want to work out, want some privacy because of the lack of people that come here, then go for it. But if you're expecting some state-of-the-art gym, with all the latest equipment, definitely avoid this place.
This gym has heavy bags!!!!! This will be one of the very few LA fitnesses I'll continue to go to, because I hate that they removed bags. It has deterred me completely.
If you want to use the stairmaster for cardio, it's just not going to happen here. There's only one, and I waited 20 mins for it only for another person to immediately hop onto it. In total, 40 mins of waiting just for basic cardio and most of the other knee-friendly machines were in the room where a class was taking place. However, the staff are nice.
My first experience was amazing but right now I need the job done I wish I can go I like been it the fitness and it helpful.
Very small place. Machines seem to be old school. Not to my taste. Felt to cluster, each machine is nearly arm length with each other.
