This is the official La' James International College Des Moines Page.
We offer Cosmetology, Massage Therapy, Esthetics, and Nail Technology programs. We are also a salon and day spa with services provided by teacher-supervised students.

LJIC has 8 locations. Six are in Iowa: Fort Dodge, Johnston, Cedar Falls, Davenport, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.
One in Fremont, NE and one in East Moline, IL

I love getting my hair done here and have been going here for years! Both the students and faculty here are very knowledgeable and pay a lot of attention to detail, they even got my daughter in for a tour of the school today during my appointment because she's interested in cosmetology. My hair looks great!! Nice job Terrin!!
Tiffiany did a amazing job on my hair .She was very knowledgeable in what I needed or didn't need. She listened to what I wanted to have done and we came up with a plan together.She took her time and didn't rush. She did a fantastic job on my hair . It turned out exactly how I wanted it. I will definitely be back!!!
Great experience today! They listened to everything I requested and my hair looks great. They also have amazing lavender wax, very soothing to my skin. Prices are awesome!

Been coming here for years...soon to be professionals learning the trade and getting the experience they need. Teachers help them understand how to give clients what they want and allow them to state what they think they should do to give feedback and growth. Every student that I have had has done a fantastic job and continue to graduate and get on with their hairdressing careers!
Harisa did an amazing job with my new textured bob and low lights today! She created a beautiful blend of my natural dark color with my grey. Highly recommend!!
I had Harisa as my stylist. She is the best! Great service great attitude listens to customer what they want and make sure she gets everything customer wants.
