NEGATIVE, POOR SERVICE: Follow-up on a past review: On a past review L-Boy read it and left an email so that they could make it right. I wrote them a detailed email explaining the issue with the lack of communication and the time it takes to resolve the problem. Since they reached out, I thought some communication or something would happen sooner than what I was told. In short: Power Reclining Sofa, Left side back feels like it could give way if I recline. Tech came out to repair and L-Boy did not send the correct Part. This issue has been going on since Jan 2023 and it is now April 2023 and L-Boy is not returning my calls or emails, even though they said they want to make it right. BAD ON THEM!1!
We were very happy with the La-Z-Boy store in Prescott. Our sales person was very nice and worked with us to make sure we would be happy with our loveseat. She did not push for just getting a sale but wanted to make sure that it would the right fit for us. We have bought your furniture in the past and always been very happy. The only problem with the furniture is that in the past you put in armchair covers with the piece. This time they wanted 80 dollars for what you always did. We were disappointed you didn’t give such a small thing to keep the furniture nice. I’m sure that the quality is still very high and that is why we came to your store. Thanks Chip Bicking
I went to LAZBOY in Prescott Valley AZ to look at furniture. When I entered the store I was greeted by Jo who asked what I was looking for. After telling her what I was interested in she showed me around the show room pointing out different items I was interested in. Once decided to purchase she walked me through the paperwork and choice. She was extremely pleasant to work with and made the purchasing process easy. She answered all my questions. Needed a couch and I bought the perfect one for me. There are choices of fabrics and less choice of colors, but managed to find one I could live with. Difficult to find colors for the 2 cushions that come with it and a little disappointed that it's going to take 2-4 months to get it. I've had LazyBoy furniture before is why I went to them again.
Service after the sale is a motto they could learn. Michelle was great in showing us a power reclining couch. When the couch was delivered a few days later, the delivery guys damaged the rear access cover and hid it from my view. When I reclined for the first time the access cover came off and it was then I notice how LazyBoy uses cardboard on the side panels. For a couch that cost over $4000.00 they use cardboard. However, that is not my issue. The couch started to make a popping sound as if something was going to give way and the reclining back is no longer in mesh or aligned up to the center or right side of the couch, I have not used the left side as I was concerned with the popping sound, I could make it worse or hurt myself falling backwards. I placed a service call back in January 2023 and was advised my service request was 30 days out. When the repair tech came out, he gave me the impression I was in the wrong for not calling sooner ??, and he needed parts, no further discussion took place as I had thought he would be back in a few day's. After not hearing from LazyBoy, I called the Prescott Valley Store as my many attempts to call the service number was not getting thru. I was told a new phone system was in place and my information was going to be emailed to the service center but I had to wait for a response as they were not open on Mondays. When they did contact me the lady said there was no record of parts needed and she would get back to me, Ha!!. I am still waiting for her to get back to me 4 weeks later. Then one day I came home and this huge box was in my drive. After looking at the packing slip I was able to identify it as a shipment from LazyBoy. I had to call Michelle at the Prescott Valley store to ask what is going on. Michelle then contacted the Service Center who then set up an appointment 33 days out and I was told like before no specific time was set, meaning I have to request an entire day off. As stated "Service after the Sale" is not in LazyBoys Motto
We purchased $2500 recliner delivered 12/27/22. Plastic piece broke underneath on March 18, 2023 and we cannot get it repaired until late April. Very disappointed in the quality and the service timeline. Chose La-Z-Boy because I thought the products were good quality. Maybe not.
My husband and I decided to buy a couch and recliner. When we found something we liked, the salesman was very nice and apologized that there will be a delay in the delivery due to the pandemic. The delay was approximately 9 months, we went with it because we still had our furniture. We finally received a call 8 mo ths later that it will be delivered Oct 1st. When it arrived the material on the console of the recliner was different from the recliner. I complained to the delivery guy ,he told me to write it on the papers. We than decided to go to the store and tell them. They apologized and ordered the correct one but said it will not come for 4 months. How can a company run a business this way, when we went to the store that day another older couple had a similar problem, there furniture was all the wrong fabric but they had no furniture at home to sit on, so upsetting. We will not purchase anything from them again.
We ordered furniture that we were so excited about. We were told it would be delivered to Happy Jack for $199.00, but we would have to donate our old furniture on our own. No problem. Three months later, we were told they would not deliver to Happy Jack at all; we would have to pick our furniture up in Prescott Valley ourselves. We almost got rid of the furniture we were replacing! We were days from finding someone to remove it. Their word is not good. I'm forced to give one star in order to post, otherwise it would be zero stars.
Found just what we were looking for at a great price. Salesperson Jo was excellent, not pushy and found us very nice recliners that are just our size. The only drawback is having to pay a delivery charge to Prescott Valley from the warehouse in Phoenix. I cant understand why my chair cant be brought to the Prescott Valley store so I could pick it up. The delivery charge is not cheap.
We were looking for a couple of chairs to replace some Costco chairs that never have been comfortable. We found two that fit our needs and are MUCH more comfortable than the Costco chairs. Lazyboy is a little pricey but the quality and comfort beat the other chairs by a mile! The salesperson stayed with us answering all our questions. She pointed out various chairs but didn't get pushy.. In all it was a favorable experience...
