"The Children’s Library is located in what was for many years, the Christian Science Church. The church was acquired by the Lackawanna County Library System in 1985. Following extensive interior renovations, the church reopened in 1987 as the Lackawanna County Children’s Library."

It is a great blessing to have this library in our community with such a good collection of books and also beautiful programs for kids keeping in mind about their little minds and positive progress.
Loads of events and activities for children and helpful, friendly staff. This library has always been outstandingly clean, well-organized, and just a pleasure to visit.
This place had tons of children book to keep your little ones entertained. They also have a nice little puppet show when available.
*clean working bathrooms* Amazing staff, great selection of books and DVDs both fiction and none fiction. It's one of the few children's libraries where the Librarians actually understand and can relate to the children. It's easy to tell all the staffers love their job, and that gives the place a fun, friendly, and enjoyable vibe. My child was once doing some math homework in the library, and Miss Gina brought her out a of bucket of buttons for "hands on" counting fun. This is one of the MANY MANY amazing examples of the how the staff goes out of their way to make learning and reading a great experience for each child. Not to mention the time ALL the staff was so helpful, kind, and understanding when a poor three year old vomited their camp lunch all over the floor - like I mentioned, they GET kids These days, you can get books anywhere, but this place gives you a passion and love for reading - and that, is totally priceless.
My kids and I love this place! Great staff and many different free activities to keep the kiddos busy!!
We LOVE coming to this library!!! Miss Laureen, Miss Jenny & Miss Angela make storytime so enjoyable and entertaining. Stories, puppets, songs and crafts keep your children entertained and HAPPY
Love the library but it's hot , please put ac on when it's hot outside
A delightful place to spend a few hours in during the summertime, especially during my childhood
It is very good for kids very good for children it helps children read right spell math education educational for the children
