"The Eastern Monroe Public Library was founded in 2016 and consists of the main Hughes Library, the Pocono Township branch, the Library of the Smithfields, and a Bookmobile to get to all the places in between. In addition to over 200,000 print books in our collection we offer free books online, a local history room, classes, Storytime, and great programs for kids, free concerts, study rooms, meeting spaces, and so much more! Please stop by. We look forward to your visit!"

I've never seen such a well-maintained and gigantic library with helpful and approachable staff. The library has two levels with multiple quiet rooms and tables for space to read or complete assignments. I enjoy coming here because people are respectful and its overall very quiet to complete work. The library has great hours and a large parking lot area.
I love going to the library with my little sister it truly fills me with so much joy and the feeling of being surrounded by so much beautiful literature is truly an awesome experience
It's a great local resource which does a fantastic job offering a variety of programs, free concerts, child/children play and storytelling, computer classes, meeting rooms, reading programs and even STEM activities. A family favorite outing.
You don't need to come to this library's annual book sale. You will encounter rude employees who are stressed because of the smallness of the place, shouting and calling. The behavior of the employees was very offensive.
Great place, lot's of selections of books, friendly staff, clean facility. Highly recommended.
The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Anytime I need assistance with the computers they’re are right there. Enjoy the quietness

Love the library! Well managed facility with excellent staff. They go above and beyond to help - considerate and professional. Great book displays always encourage your reading something new. Wish I could visit more often and that this place was closer to my home!
It's a great library, especially for the area, and the staff really is dutiful and kind.
This my Favorite Library ever. Not only is every staff member awesome and so helpful. But the selection of materials will go beyond your expectations. There is a wonderful section run by the Friends of the Library where you can purchase amazing books and crazy low prices. This library has it all and I would give 10 Stars if I could. Highly Recommend!!
