Our children have attended Lake Highland Preparatory School both middle and high during the past 4 school years. Both schools are excellent! We love Lake Highland Preparatory School and are extremely grateful for the excellent education and environment that both of our children received. Lake Highland will always be in our hearts and we highly recommend Lake Highland to anyone. Thank You to all Lake Highland teachers and staff!!!
My children have attended three private schools in the Orlando area over the past 14 years, Windermere Prep, The First Academy, and Lake Highland. Lake Highland, by far, has the best academics. If you are interested in attending a top tier university and are academically motivated, Lake Highland is the place to be. The teachers really are creative in their teaching methods and expect a lot from the students. It is stressful? Yes. Do the kids rise to the occasion and really excel? Yes. I love the involvement of the administration in keeping kids on the right track in dress and behavior. The school truly works with parents that are trying to grow healthy, intelligent leaders. Cost is high. Location is not ideal for the Windermere set, but worth the drive.
I'm a 2004 graduate and looking back I'm grateful for attending such a great school and developing a life friendship who I keep in touch with till this day. They are now Doctors, Lawyers, Corporate Executives but still my buddies from high school . LHP is a very tight knit community that offers the best when it comes to academics, sports, and personal development. My sister now attends and is 16 years old with the same teachers I had. Such a great atmosphere , culture and community
I graduated from LHPS a few years ago. It is an excellent institution and I am grateful to have been able to attend. I lived in Winter Park and so had the opportunity to go to WP high school; looking back on it I am happy with my decision to attend LHPS rather than WPHS or one of the OCPS magnet programs. Good teachers, class sizes and guidance counselor to student ratio, all of which were important to me. The academics are top-tier if you take advantage of them. Likewise, despite being in a smaller athletic division, the athletic program is great. Would recommend LHPS to others.
I don't go there. But I know 2 girls that do. It's like any private prep school that I've seen. However, seems if u have the $$$$ send ur kids here. Middle School is a shuttle ride away. I know school color is white, red, black.
My daughter attended and graduate from LHP, best school ever. My daughter loved it! #2015
