Lakepoint Resort Lodge and Convention Center

We ended up here at the lodge at the last minute on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Originally, we had rented a small cabin at a different park, but when we arrived and I checked the room there, it was dirty and had live bed bugs. I didn't even take our stuff inside that place. We had to leave the other park and I was so worried our holiday weekend would be ruined because nothing else would be available on a holiday weekend. We were SO lucky the Lakepoint Lodge had a room available!!!!! The balcony in our room overlooking the lake is very nice, the beds are soft, the room is very clean, and the staff are AMAZING!!!! We had the Friday seafood dinner buffet, and it was way better than I expected for a state park restaurant. We watched an alligator swim by in the lake from our dinner table. It was lovely! My son is excited that there is a swimming pool here as well. We would absolutely stay here again!!

This is a very nice getaway spot. The room I was in was very spacious with two queen beds, two sinks and itsown private patio which had a view of the water. Very peaceful. The only issue I had was I was stung by a wasp as there was a nest on the back of the chair on the patio, other than that it was a great place. I'll be back for sure to check out their cabins and other amenities.

Visited tonight to take advantage of the resort dining room. They are offering two can dine for $15.99. This is my second Wednesday in a row. Always friendly staff and great service, not to mention its a chance to witness a beautiful sunset over Lake Eufaula as the dining room overlooks the lake.

The lodge is just like you see on television. There was a big old fern on a round table. Nice long hallways. The restaurant food was pretty good. On Fridays they have a seafood buffet from 5 - 8 pm, for $20.99 price on 12/30/22Rooms: 4/5

The hotel lodging was excellent. Rooms clean, location is eight off the Hwy 431. Conference rooms were clean and the linens, the restaurant decor modern and airy. Food was delicious and seasoned well. Minimum activities for children. More to do for the outdoor type. Had a wonderful timeRooms: 5/5

We were in a bind, we couldn't find a room anywhere close to Dothan to be near my mother who was in the hospital. This facility was most helpful for us and the staff was amazing. Our room was CLEAN! the beds were pretty soft and the water in the shower was strong and hot. We're planning to come back soon! I loved the set up of our room and the balcony was great! Can't wait to come back!

The food didn't taste good at all. Need to do better.

Very nice can't beat Wednesday special dinner!

I have stayed in much more extensive rooms that weren't as clean as lakepoint. Don't let pictures of rooms fool you from staying here. Very nice rooms, great job Lakepoint looking forward to going back.Rooms: 5/5

Dinner with the family at the buffet is always delicious! However, I really wish they were taking more precautions during the pandemic. Masks are preferred but not required, so everyone is breathing near the food and also touching all of the utensils! Masks should be required at least in the buffet line and gloves should be available for handling utensils. Luckily, we had Germ-X wipes and our masks to properly protect ourselves.
