This park was okay. I like exploring and nature to be more prominent. It wasn't as peaceful or tucked away as other city parks. My view was mostly road, buildings, power lines, and power grids, with some nature. The trees there are great though, good variety. There is a playground for big kids and for smaller kids. There is a baseball field, basketball goals, hilly walking path, and picnic areas. It has a restroom attached to the baseball concession stand. Looks like a fun place to bring the bike back to! Playground: Not fenced in, near the road, but not on it. Two areas: one for big kids and one for small kids. Swing area with bucket swings and standard swings. It's a hilly area, be careful with young kids. They couldn't do the walking path. A little close to the basketball goals, my son kept wanting to disrupt the players. Restrooms: There are two restrooms attached to the baseball concession stand. Open on a Sunday too! Dark, not a lot of sunlight, but clean. Picnic area: There are shelters and plenty of picnic tables spread throughout the park. Shaded and sunny both.
Georgeous local park that has a wonderful walking/jogging trail. Exercise equipment along the path. A creek and mini-wetland run through the park, so you see all sorts of wildlife and vegetation. Beautiful flowers in the spring and summer, ducks during their migration, rabbits year round, even a nesting pair of red-tailed hawks. There's a good mix of trees and fields, and there have been a lot of new trees planted, so in coming years there will be tons more shade. Great for families.
Lovely and peaceful little park for the times you want to get close to nature without having to travel too far. Great for walking and running. Beautiful creek!
Great neighborhood park with a small children's jungle gym. The walking trail is great in the fall, winter, spring and summer! The trail is also equipped with exercise machines! There are tennis courts, big hills for kids to run up and down, picnic and bbq stations! The biggest little league field is housed here, so when there is a game, the park is packed!! I love it here.
I enjoy running here and my daughter likes the park. It is a place you'd either have to know about or you'd accidentally stumble across it. There are several families who participate in extracurricular activities such as soccer and baseball. There is a small park and basketball court.
Park in walking distance, but we would drive here from further away. Great playground with an elementary school one right by it too. Little league baseball field. Putting up a stone building right now, looks like it will be bathrooms. Beautiful walking trail every time of year. Water fountain at furthest end. Wild life hardly scared of people. Saw cardinals and bluejays, lots of squirrels and a rabbit today, so close up.
Only recently discovered this park. It’s a quiet, beautiful park with a few miles of walking/bike paths. There is also a creek which my dog loves to splash around in!
This park hasn't changed much since I was a kid and it's fantastic. Beautiful walking trail and picnic areas. Definitely an underappreciated local park.
Something for everyone. Enjoyed sitting among the beautiful large trees to read a few chapters out in the open air. Plenty of room to be distanced from others, too. A lovely place to visit.
I really enjoyed this park - it's probably my favorite in Lexington. The surrounding neighborhood is perfect, and the park is gorgeous. Trees everywhere, baseball field, yoga/exercise stations, nice walking trails. And the park is quite big!
