Nice Peaceful park where you can go read a book and relax. There is a coffee shop rite beside the park. Benches are provided. However, there are some homeless folk who hang out here as well just in case you have some type of aphobia For the most part they won't bother ya!! Enjoy!!
Great life size bronze statues of jockeys and their Thoroughbred Horses. Great place for photo op near the fountain as well. Worth a quick visit!
This could be a fantastic park, but the hole in the sidewalk in front of the water fountain kills it. The homeless person sitting on one of the benches on the other side of the fountain kept us away from exploring that section. The horse statues are phenomenally beautiful though. My husband, one year old son and I enjoyed that much. We spent about ten minutes there.
Awesome display of actual size horses with jockies, as well as artistic interpretations. Located in downtown Lexington.
Well done sculptures and nicely kept grounds. Lots of information presented in a fun way. Don't forget to go behind the wall and get the "finish line" view!
A very interesting park with lovely sculptures, so many different styles of horses along the way.
Enjoyed the park.Bronze statues were amazing and painted horses were fun to see!
The availability and the close proximity to the highways not only give someone experienced that would be pleasing. Say if I am at the park and my homie ride by, or that girl that likes me where to buy are they going to get out. Me and my clothes populated area that will attract more activities from the park.
Spent a little bit of time walking through the park with my best friend, her boyfriend, their daughter and my fiancé. It isn't the biggest park on the planet, but there were a lot of nice statues of the horses and also, informational plaques on the ground about people of interest to the Lexington area. A quick walk, but a nice little break from the city buildings.
Very nice little spot. Cool statues, beautiful fountain, plenty of benches, and many plaques full of interesting history. A very lovely park.
