Steve is a great greeter..friendly and personable. Small campground but wonder as lose to alot. Have a great walking biking trail by Rock of ages for those that like to get out..recommend here.. very quiet and peaceful.Service: 5/5
It's a camp ground for camping. It's very quiet and up on a hill, not far from town. There is a nice Hannaford grocery store at bottom of hill. I would certainly recommend this location. They do have a few cabins. It is quiet and clean. Nice place .
We just came back from several days at Lazy Lions. As everyone else said, it was quiet and chill and in beautiful condition. The bathrooms were spotless. it was odd though - in the four nights we were there, we never saw another camp fire, or even saw anyone else outside except for brief dog walks. While there is no road noise, also the Rock of Ages quarry is right next door and during the day, there is persistent noise that comes from there.
Great campground for the adults. We enjoyed the lack of a pool and playground this time around. We love having our grandkids with us, but sometimes it's nice to have "grown up" time with some peace and quiet. The place is well maintained and cared for, and the owners are both present and friendly.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely park. Stayed in a cabin this trip. Owner was fantastic, park was well maintained. We will be staying here again when we are in the area.Service: 5/5
Lazy Lions is a small family run park, open May to October. Sites are grass/gravel and pretty level. Good water pressure and clean 50amp power. Great location for exploring central VT as everything is relatively close by Burlington, 60mins; Montpelier 15mins; Stowe 30-35 mins. Owner is super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. We camped at Lazy Lions Campground in a Motorhome.
It's one of our favorite places to sneak away it peaceful and neat as a pin. The owners are awesome and always happy to see us. We'll be going back again this year for sure
This is a lively site with wonderful people owning it. They were so helpful, including bringing over an extra chair so our visitor could sit with us around the fireService: 5/5
Excellent campground. Stayed in a cabin here for Wednesday and Thursday nights of the last week they were open. Everyone else at the time were in RVs/Campers. Cabin was very cozy with a queen bed, space heater this was October and even a fridge & TV. It could fit a small sleeping pad beside the bed but is probably better for couples on the queen. Site was very quiet loudest sound the entire time was my friend and I talking in normal voices over morning coffee, and while you could technically hear the quarry if you paid attention and tried, the woods made it such that it was similar to how you can hear a highway from a mile away if you really listen – not something that bothers you at all. Bathrooms were clean, showers worked fine, overall a very relaxing place to stay. Owner was very friendly as well. I’d 100% stay here again.
THIS IS THE BEST CG WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN! The Lazy Lions Campground is everything a campground should be. For starters the owner's Steve & Darrell are so attentive to their property and their guest they make you feel right at home. They represent the very best of Vermont. The campground is central to everything Vermont has to offer. The campground is super clean, beautifully landscaped and very comfortable. There are trails toward the back of the property, and there is a bike and walking path 1//4 mile from the CG in front of the Rock of Ages. Everywhere you look the views are spectacular. The grocery is at the bottom of the hill for convenience. The CG has a clean bathhouse, laundromat and showers. If you are into hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring this is the the place to stay. We spent 2 months at the Lazy Lions Campground and had the time of our lives! Thank you, Steve, Darrell, & Craig your hospitality is first rate! See you in June 2023.
