I can't say enough about this place! We have been rvers for a year now. We've stayed in a lot of parks. I have to say hands down this one is my favorite!! Heath the owner is wonderful! There are so many family fun things to dowe did them all! The rates are great! The only thing we had to pay for on site was laundry of course . It's small but the sites are not. THANK YOU HEATH for EVERYTHING!! when we're near there we will be back!!
Great little find outside of Montpelier. Don't let the entrance fool you. Excellent location for travelers going to Hope Cemetery, Ben and Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider Cheese and Maple Syrup. Very reasonably priced, owner was super helpful. Sites have Full hook-ups, electric and sewer. Pull through sites, 100% level, Fire pit and table plus a river and mountain view. Very nice RV/ Tent Camping spots with views. Huge banquet tent, playground and slip and slide for the kids.
I will definitely book again. I emailed with Heath, the owner, and he was very responsive and prompt. He gave us clear directions, which was very helpful since our service was spotty. We picked the campsite farthest into the trees, with a little path along the water and we LOVED IT. So serene and beautiful.
We had a great stay. The hookup sites are flat and level. There is a little road noise. But it's easily ignored. The amount depends on which site. Ironically, the noisiest ones were filled with seasonals. The view from our site as wonderful. We had company the first weekend. Unlike many locations, Heath was wicked flexible about having a tent on site for the kids. The bathhouses were clean and well maintained. The location also has a common room and laundry facilities. We're contemplating a fall visit to sit and watch the leaves change color.
Great location and views. Spots were nice and cozy. Several amenities - rec room, playground, laundry. Owner was super friendly. Verizon signal was great. Only downsides were slow wifi and making a right turn into this place with the rig. If you are turning in to the right it is a hairpin turn. Go down the street another half mile or so and turn around.
Best camping expierence thus far. Great host. Plenty of things for kids to do. And great scenery. If back this way will definitely revisit
Nice spot, friendly campers! Small area but the owners have contributed so much to the camp grounds. Pool, slip 'n slide, rec hall with pool table and games, cards and books; they also have a tented area with big Jenga, basketball, air hockey and corn hole!
My husband and I stayed here for a week. It's a beautiful campground convenient to Montpelier and other locations. The owner, Heath, is a nice, hard-working man, and we wish him all the best! We have T-Mobile and our reception was not good, but that's not anyone's fault. WiFi is slow, but Heath is working improving it. Definitely recommend this campground.
This was one of our favorite stays on our USA-wide journey so far. Heath and Erica, the owners, are superb hosts; we spent a great evening around the campfire with them! The views of fall colors all around are phenomenal. There is a bit of road noise as you're right off of Highway 2, but we couldn't hear it at all inside our RV. Just a gorgeous place to stay--we hope to be back soon!
We called about 3 hours before arrival, we camp off our motorcycles so we wing it most of the time. Owner greeted us as soon as we rolled in, completed the money part quick and had our firewood ready to go. She knew the sun was going down and we had to set up. The game room was great to sit and use the WiFi to plan for the next day. Hot showers and clean restrooms made this night under the stars with a fire even better. If in a tent, take the lower level by the creek, the road is busy and it was a school night so the morning was even busier. Other than that, highly recommend.
