Loved this campground. Only 11 minutes away from Colgate University. With the help of the staff, we arranged for a travel trailer rental on the weekend of our son's graduation. I wish we knew about this beautiful campground 4 years ago!Rooms: 5/5
We love this campground! The staff is so friendly and the sites and facilities are spacious, clean, and beautiful. Everything is also very affordable. We will be coming back!Service: 5/5
Loved going camping here, just wish they had a sand beach area.Service: 5/5
Stayed here to attend a wedding nearby at the Stoney Creek Castle. The site was well maintained, everyone was friendly, and the store was well stocked. Even candy for $ .15 for the kids to buy with pocket change, which I thought was awesome. We plan to return.
This is our camp ground and I could go on and on forever about why you should bring your family here. Between the atmosphere, the cleaninless of the park, and the many events they have going on, this place has it all. It's great for adults and children. We have been camping here for years. We are more than friend with people there... we are family. We have a great time whenever we are there. We will be camping there until we die. We will raise our children there and our grandchildren. This is our home away from home. The owners are absolutely wonderful. You won't find another place like this. I promise.
Could have been friendlier and at least smiled at us while checking in to visit our daughter who was camping there. I thought they seemed rude. And the camp sites are pretty small. There was no room to even set up the corn hole boards. And the fire pits are between the camper and the driveway everyone uses. It seemed kinda weird. I wasn't impressed but my daughter who was the one actually camping there was fine with it.
We stayed here for two nights in the middle of our road trip, and we stayed at a full hookup, back-in rv/camper site. This was an absolutely lovely campground. The ladies who got us checked in and were around the front store a lot are so nice and friendly. The mini golf course is included with your stay there, and is so much fun!! We would definitely recommend a stay at this wonderful campground!
Second trip to this wonderful campground! The staff, super awesome. Let's start with the check-in. Was very simple and easy and staff took us to our site. Now the site. Site was 50 amp. We had 2 sewer hookups. The electric hookup is high off the ground so surge suppressor works with no issues. They have cable with 65 station available. Wifi is available but in 60 minute increments. We did have 3 bars cell service so wifi is nice but not necessary. Newer galvanized picnic table with newer lumber. Site is very spacious. It was a back in right next to the playground area. Playground area is new from the last time we were here. They have basketball, swings, volleyball, slide and many places for kids to run around. They have an arcade and game room as well as mini golf. There is a small lend library. There is also horseshoe pits. There are tent sites as well. The campground is fairly large and lots of places to walk or to take your dogs for a walk. There is a swim area in the reservoir. There is boating and kayaking. There is also lots of sky! Bring binos or a telescope as there are lots of areas to see the stars. They have a really nice store with lots of campground memorabilia. Wood is priced really good. The only thing I would change would be concerning the NEW play area. Lights should go out during quiet hours. Kids are there, loud, cursing past 11:00. They were observed climbing and bending the light poles around the main play area. Not only will this damage the lights, it could cause children to fall and get hurt. The front office should put cameras as well as a loud speaker to be able to view what is going on as well as telling children to leave after quiet time. Overall, for couples or families, I would recommend this campground. From our camp site, the sunrises were spectacular! We will definitely visit again.
My fiance and I go camping here often, the owners are great and very friendly and accomodating. Everyone you pass smiles and waves, overall friendly place. There are lots of activities for the kids on weekends, as well as a nice swimming area and an awesome mini golf course! We love it there
I have been coming to this camp ground for 3 years. We always attend in August during the chocolate weekend. We got to have homade sundaes, bubble bounce house water slide, a beautiful play ground that was built this year and is great for the kids. They have alot of other activities including the reservoir where u can rent a boat or kayak, a swimming hole and much more. The camp sites are nice and the people are very friendly. The bathrooms and showers are very nice and clean as well. There new office they built is stocked with everything you may need and check in was very simple. We love the staff and enjoy coming back here every year. I would definitely recommend it.
