I had the pleasure of dining at Ling Ling recently, and I can confidently say that it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I ordered the Thai Style Spicy Crispy dish, I knew I was in for a treat. The combination of hot peppers, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and leeks was divine- a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. They cooked the dish to perfection and served it piping hot, a testament to the freshness of the ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant was equally impressive. The charming interior created a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel at ease. The friendly service provided by the staff only added to the wonderful experience. They were attentive and knowledgeable and ensured I had the best first time. Ling Ling is one of the best Thai restaurants, and I can't wait to return! The quality of the food, the warm atmosphere, and the attentive service all come together to make for an unforgettable dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Ling Ling to anyone looking for exceptional Thai cuisine.
They have the best house made dumplings I ever had. Same goes for the fried rice, it was fresh & flavorful. Wait staff was great and tea was Delightful
I felt like I went back in time, the restaurant does not look like it has been changed for decades and have used sellotape to fix it up .The plates looked like they were antiques used for many decades. I found it funny I recieved 1 springroll for 3 dollars . The food was ok but not worth the price would have been happier with a Shincup instead. The restaurant is called New Ling Ling but really needs some renovation.
Ambience and presentation of the food is actually pretty good. However the taste is quite bland with little flavor. Portions are on the small side. Not sure if they are promoting more "healthy" chinese food....if there is such a thing...
Very consistently high quality appetizers and dumplings. I recommend trying them all. We've had some disappointing main courses and combos in comparison with other local options, so we stick with the small plates. They've had their ups and downs throughout the years, and I'm sure that the disruption from the pandemic did not help. They seem to be making a comeback lately. Definitely give them a try. Parking: Shares plaza parking lot. Plenty of spaces. Parking overflow in the basement of the building.
It was my first and last time visiting this restaurant. General So’ chicken is $20 while other places sell it between $11-$13, very rude when I complained about the amount of food that enough to feed a toddler.
I have been coming here forever. Over the past year or so this place has gone way down hill. My wife and I ordered takeout on Christmas Day. I showed up 5 minutes before the time. The soup was stone cold, the dumplings were undercooked and cold, the bokchoy was overcooked and my wife ordered brown rice instead of white rice. That did not happen. Only white was in the bag. Nothing had any flavor Tonight my wife wanted to give them another shot. I told her to let them know on the phone what had happened with the last order. The woman that answered the phone said that she only answers the phone and she is not responsible for the food. She said that she would go in the back and make sure it got bagged properly. When I went to pick it up, I spoke to the only women there and she told me exactly the same thing she told my wife. She is only an employee answering the phone and she is not responsible. I asked her what does that have to do with the quality of the food when you make sure the order is packaged properly. She told me I have to talk to the manage/owner. I said to bring him out, I would love too. Said he was busy cooking without even asking for him. But also told me that he doesn’t want her talking about this anymore without even talking to him. Obviously she didn’t want other customers listening to me. She told me I was making her feel bad and responsible. I said I just wanted to make sure she understood that there is a difference between packing an order and quality of food. Told her she could have offered me a discount. Her response was the boss said I could have one next time I come in. How that conversation happened without her talking to anyone is a mystery to me. Truth is, I think she is the owner. Upon leaving she again stated she only works their and I replied that I don’t and she quickly responded with it is a good thing you don’t. When she ran my card she said I had to fill in the part for the tip. I said I DID AND NO TIP FOR YOU! She was very rude. YOU WON’T SEE ME AGAIN. I never write reviews. This is a first. They certainly do not appreciate business and should not be in it. IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN THEM NO STARS FOR THIS REVIEW I WOULD HAVE!
Worst service I ask for soup and a soda and they denied for me to seat inside because I have to spend a minimum. So soup am a soda is not good for dining in. What worst service ever!! Never coming in here again!!Food: 1/5
Ordered 2 lunch specials today for the first time chicken with broccoli and chicken basil, both with hot and sour soup and brown rice. Contrary to other reviews, the food was DELICIOUS - soup is one the top 2 in the area we've tried 6 places so far, both dishes were well sized for lunch and everything was packed well. We asked for medium spice and no it wasn't spicy but it was indeed very flavorful, NO MSG. Looking forward to trying out dinner!
We were in Warren area last weekend and not much options for food, especially for Chinese food, so we ended up at Ling Ling. Looks like a very typical low budget Chinese American food place, and we don’t have much expectations. We ordered general Tsao’s chicken and house special noodle, in my view, turns out to be pretty tasting and reasonable portion. More importantly, and I didn’t get upset stomach afterwards, so at least the food is fresh and clean. My wife wasn’t so impressed, but then she is more picky; anyway, thus a 4 star.
