Our server, Rhiannah , was an absolute delight. Very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu and any questions we had. I ended up ordering the Blackened Chicken Curry dish and was blown away with the flavours and presentation. Apologies for the picture as I took it halfway through eating it. Would highly recommend it. My sister had the fish tacos and was pleased the dish is great as ever.
LOCAL Public Eatery - Lansdowne is a vibrant and bustling restaurant that left us thoroughly impressed during our recent visit. We arrived on a Wednesday evening, only to find the place absolutely packed with patrons. Despite being unable to secure outdoor patio seating, the lively atmosphere indoors more than made up for it. From the moment we stepped inside, the energy of the place was palpable. The lively chatter, upbeat music, and friendly staff created an inviting ambiance that made us feel right at home. The service at LOCAL Public Eatery was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable, exhibiting genuine hospitality and friendliness throughout our visit. To quench our thirst, we opted for the giant bowl of sangria, and it did not disappoint. Sipping on this delightful concoction added to the festive vibe and set the tone for a fun-filled evening. As for the food, we ordered a hand-pressed beef burger and a fried chicken burger. The beef burger and fries were absolute winners, boasting a juicy patty and a perfect blend of flavors. They were truly a treat for the taste buds. The fried chicken burger, while decent, had subtle hints of Asian flavors, which made for an interesting twist. Although it didn't quite match the exceptional taste of the beef burger, it still provided a satisfying option. The menu at LOCAL Public Eatery offers a variety of dishes to suit different palates and preferences. Overall, LOCAL Public Eatery - Lansdowne proved to be a fantastic dining destination in the area, and it's no surprise that it's one of the busiest restaurants in Lansdowne. So I'm giving a low star rating for the main reason of, if you tell me theres room and have us cancel other reservations, we shouldn't have to wait another hour and a half. The front end staff were so dismissive of this that it was ridiculous. Outside of this our server was an absolute gem and our food was amazing. Ramen was on par with some places who specialize in it and it makes sense why it runs put. A must try, specially since the chicken is really good. Piroges could have used a little more crisp and perhaps some more fresh green onions or something to cut the grease. Burger was delicious and a good size. All in all everything besides the extra hour and a half wait and dismissive front end, it ended up being a fun night out. New edit on 2nd visit: Wings were a tad small but very delicious. Truffle burger had a great flavor to it and was that nice mix of messy burger. Fish and chips could have been a bit crisper but the inside was really nice and flaky. It wasn't a thick batter which was greatly appreciated. The person eating it didn't like onions and the coleslaw had a bunch in it.
Great atmosphere with cool interior. Staff is attentive and friendly. The truffle cheeseburger was very tasty, while the Caesar salad was fresh with a nice flavour twist. This place is great for watching sports, having drinks, and enjoying a nice selection of food options. Great place to go on a date or with your circle of friends. Highly recommended.
Nice atmosphere quiet, reasonable priced food and drinks have small play area for kids to play at, staff are pleasant overall good experience would recommend try out they have food for everyone including vegetariansFood: 3/5
The food and drinks are great. The service is pretty good and you get your food surprisingly fast and at a reasonable price. I think they hire their staff based on looks more than anything so with that they can occasionally come off as somewhat full of themselves but it isn't that big of an issue. It is a very humbling experience to go to the local and be surrounded by people who are far more attractive then you. overall great spot to go with friends.
Went to Landsdowne for breakfast with a big group, the plan was to eat somewhere else but they couldn’t accommodate us, came here, lots of outdoor sweating, outdoor games kids enjoyed and beautiful view of the busy outdoor farmers market right across. Their brunch menu is super limited hence the 3 stars it’s basically 2 options! Our server was helpful and kind, kids got pastries from the market across and she offered them plates for that usually it’s not favourable to bring outside food our whole table ordered the same thing, eggs Benedict with grilled avocados. X the Holland issue sauce tasted ready made won’t assume it’s made in house here the side of potatoe was good.. over all we had a great time! Seating is a 5 for sure

I recently had the pleasure of dining at LOCAL public eatery and it was a fantastic experience. My girlfriend and I both ordered the blackened chicken sandwich and we were blown away by how delicious it was. It's safe to say that it was the best sandwich we have eaten in a long time. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sandwich was served on a fresh bun and was accompanied by crispy onion rings with a great chipotle mayo. Our server, Brooke, was phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, and efficient. We never had to wait long for anything and our drinks were always topped up. Brooke really added to the overall experience and made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. For dessert, we tried the peanut butter mousse sundae and it was absolutely amazing. The combination of creamy peanut butter mousse and rich oreo crumble with the vanilla ice cream was a match made in heaven. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. The only downside to our experience was that the music was quite loud. However, this was a minor issue and didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of our meal. In summary, LOCAL public eatery is an amazing restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone. The blackened chicken sandwich is a must-try, the service is top-notch, and the dessert is out of this world . I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!
Great place to go for brunch although we were a bit disappointed by the Eggs benedict we ordered. The Hollandaise sauce just tasted "off". We stayed a good part of the day and played board games and shuffleboard in the afternoon. We ordered some nachos on the picture and some extra sour cream as suggested by the waitress.... although the nachos already came with sour cream. We wished we would have been told... They were tasty nonetheless and the portion was good enough for 2 to share. We will go back! Great atmosphere.
