Excellent hospital, terrible lab. I always get excellent care at this hospital. The nurses and doctors are kind, knowledgeable and care about their patients. Their lab sucks. Nobody is ever there when they are supposed to be. I have tried several different times to get blood drawn or to drop off samples - even calling to ensure that someone will be there. They have less than a 50% success rate of being able to serve me INSIDE their service hours.
I have had 2 procedures in this hospital in the last 3 months and both times I have had exceptional nurses. I had a bad experience with a nurse at another hospital, which made me fearful of what I might experience in the future. The nurses I had here were very kind and didn't make me feel like I was a bother when I needed their help. They just jumped right up and helped me feel comfortable.
We have not had very good Doctor's in the past in the E.R. here. They have always talked down to us, and talked to us like we have no knowledge, even though my wife is in the medical field. When we had our child delivery here, we had a great experience! And also the staff in the blood lab are so friendly to my daughter every time she has to go here.
Whether ER visit or routine tests, the personnel at LR are outstanding. Today I went to the wrong place for a routine test and Tony M. took the time to walk me to the right place downstairs. So impressive, I'm grateful to be a patient of such a professional and gracious medical provider
I went in to the E.R. and left worse than when I came in. I could handle my kidney stone, what I couldn't handle is that they gave me too much pain meds. So much, they had to put me on oxygen and keep me more hours even after I passed the stone because I couldn't breathe. I told pregnant nurse Angela in the ER to not give me the second dose of pain meds because I was having trouble after the first dose, she didn't listen to me, didn't care, gave it to me anyway. She was one of the worst nurses I have ever had! Also they will write the generic I'm sorry for your experience. But if Logan hospital/ER was really sorry they would treat people better and not send them home worried they were going to due because of an overdose! Sad experience as a patient and human being.
Came to Dr Blaine Anderson for a check up on my wrist that he did surgery on in 2005. Dr Anderson and his staff are amazing and seem to really care about me. Thanks Dr Anderson! The hospital was pretty busy today. Masks are still required.
Logan Hospital Emergency room does not use IHC drs for emergency room but claim to be an IHC hospital. They contract with Rocky Mountain Emergency Services. Not an IHC group and have an F ranking from Better Business Bureau with 5 complaint regarding their billing practices. My son went to the Emergency Room with appendicitis symptoms. In the IHC app we received a bill for $2100 and paid it. 4 months later bets served a summons for not paying his bill to Rocky Mountain Services bill. They has never sent a bill nor called. Called the hospital. Found out RMES does not bill through the IHC app. They wanted to triple the original amount due for attorney fees and collection fees! Dr. Stegelmeier that saw my son and billed for his time. Claims to be an IHC dr and is listed for them. Why does he not bill through the App. Why does Logan Hospital do business with an F rated medical group that prays on unsuspecting college students to collect additional Attorney fees and collection fees. I suspect that they are all. Relative. Logan Hospital Admin that contracts with this F rated Rocky mtn emergency services scam group and the NAR collection company and the attorneys who when you look them up. Only work for debt collectors. So you know they are all in this together to. Make money for each other. Nice and clean. Seems like a newer hospital in terms of construction and decor. They got us in quickly. It's located close to a lot of things for those who have people staying a long time. During our visit they were admiring people very fast with minimal delay. Bathrooms were clean and parking was easy as well. They also have equipment for deaf and blind people to communicate with doctors and staff. See pictures. They have movies playing in waiting rooms on mute to help entertain kids.
Hospitals are similar by regulations. The part that sets this hospital above the rest is their billing and care financial aid departments are top notch. They don't always fix you, but at least they don't ruin you financially like cache valley specialty hospital. They give a good honest effort and are transparent. They also take care of their employees. Had a very successful surgery here. No surprise billing or harassment. Bed side manners were respectful, appropriate, and didn't harass. They admitted when they weren't sure and offered to request a specialist or research more and follow up.
Call wait times are terrible. In order to get anybody on the phone you need to be one of the first callers of the day now it's prepared to die of natural causes while you waiting on hold. They do have a nice message option that takes you in circles it doesn't allow you to leave a message.
