Los Angeles Community College District - Cosmetology & Skin Therapy Program
Cosmetology is offered at only one of the Los Angeles Community College District Campuses. Trade Tech is a leader in the education of tomorrow’s cosmetology professionals. Seasoned professional instructors guide our students through an award winning 1600-hour state mandated program utilizing various support materials to present the highest quality education available. When students graduate from the LATTC Cosmetology program they are prepared for their state board examination. In keeping with the high standards of the beauty industry, the LATTC Cosmetology Department maintains a close relationship with industry professionals. Comprehensive theory and practical partnerships have been formed with such companies as Pivot Point a leader in cosmetology education, to help educate quality students. Established beauty salon and beauty supply owners, make-up artists, hairstylists, graduates and educators are invited to share their experiences and skills to keep students motivated and focused on their careers.
Our skin care program is a one year program in which students complete 600 clocked hours to obtain a license in skin therapy/esthetician. Career Opportunities as Skin Care Specialist in: Salon, Skin Care Center, Day Spa, Destination Spa, Medical Setting, Esthetics Director, Spa Manager, Business Owner, Educator, Distributor, Product Analyst. Opportunities also in Makeup Artistry, Bridal Makeup Specialist or for Commercial Photo, Film and TV.

The faculty and staff stand united in providing a positive, nurturing, and
student centered learning environment. Students will be prepared for State
Board examination licensing and entry level positions that meet industry
