Today was very encouraging in the direction that I see this hospital going. The staff is exceptional. Fast, courteous and knowledgeable. I'm accustomed to physicians who are always in a rush but never have time. Well today the doctor who took care of my dad took his time introduced me to his team and explained everything in depth. Very impressed with the staff. Kudos to you guys!!!
On today you all gained these stars. Thanks for being understanding to my mother’s needs. Your staff from beginning to end showed concern and professionalism! We were in and out. The prescription was ready in the pharmacy by the time we drove to the front to pick it up! I am satisfied! I wish all encounters would flow like this not just for me but for others as well.. I have a hard time believing that someone comes to the ER to waste time, we are usually ill and need medical attention. The medical attention that employees in a hospital setting forget sometime that they are there to carry out! Y’all did great today! Thanks Again..
I’m new to the area and after hearing from several different ones about all surrounding hospitals, I Decided if I ever needed emergency medical care I’d go to Ochsner LSU. My 80 year old mother needed emergency care, I chose to have her treated there, the team took excellent care of her, this is including all from registration CNA’s techs housekeeping nurses and the Dr Thank you for taking good care and treating my mother well
I have always been Blessed to have Private Insurance until 2 years ago. I have to admit, learning the “system” when you do need it, is not an easy task! Every person that I’ve seen, talked to or followed them when I asked for directions because I wasn’t sure where I was going, Has Been So Incredibly KIND, COURTEOUS & HELPFUL! Thank You Ochsner’s!!!
There are nurses there that have no business being nurses. When they started working as nurses, I pray that they believed they were helping people and compassionate and caring. Because as time went by, they have become rude, condescending, and heaven forbid you ask them a question. If you work there, take a deep hard look inside yourself. Answer this question “Why?” What is your why? Why did you choose the nursing profession. If you don’t have that same passion and drive now as you did when you started, then it is time to go do something else. You aren’t helping anyone with your rude and disrespectful attitude. If we are there, we are there for a reason. A reason that is important to us, you may not think it is important or just, but that doesn’t matter, because it isn’t about what you believe or think. Your job is to be compassionate caregivers. If you can’t do that anymore, it is time for you to leave that profession. I do want to give a huge shout out to those nurses that go to work everyday and show patients and others that the world can be a better place and they do have what it takes to be the caring healthcare professionals that ALL patients deserve!
The Doctors and staff are most helpful. Hospital is clean. The ladies that sit by main entrance are kind and caring? We are well pleased with the care received.
My son was in ICU for 10 days and received great care and attention to detail. All the doctors, nurses and support personnel were warm, courteous and answered any question we had. The medical treatment was top notch and professional probably saving his life with the decisions the doctors made without hesitation. I can't say enough about the professionalism shown at this facility.
Got referred here to the rheumatologist for insurance reasons ended up seeing Dr. Cavell, the medical director and took a while to be scheduled, but the in-person wait was relatively short, and the triage nurse and student nurse were attentive and friendly. Dr. Cavell, however, was immediately dismissive and condescending. As a young person with chronic illnesses, I’m used to not being taken seriously, but he was honestly just plain rude. It seemed like what I was saying - listing my symptoms, filling him in on my medical history, etc - was going in one ear and out the other. Every time I would pause in talking he would only ask about my depression and my over-average weight. I tried to explain that both of those things were caused BY my illnesses but he didn’t listen to that either. I told him that if he refuses to treat me, I’d like it noted in my chart - but all he did was squint at me like I was incompetent and say “we’ll see.” Needless to say I will not be going back…I’m not going to waste my time with a doctor that isn’t willing to help me. So disappointed in how unprofessional he was. The student nurse even walked me to the receptionist to apologize for his behavior. I’m also willing to bet I’m not the only person to have this experience…I would strongly suggest you find somewhere else.
Came here because I was told they would listen to me and help with my CVS. Of course this doctor Tiffany Britt would not listen to me. Had an excuse for everything I said that made my condition what she wanted it to be. I tried to show my research which was quickly dismissed. She wouldn't even look at a calendar I made of my vomiting episodes. She claims she knows of my disorder yet would not allow me to explain what is going on with me. Just continued to say its a textbook case of something I have already been checked for and prescribed nothing to help but quickly requested I have invasive procedures that make them money. Ultimately no care for patient wellness or support for patients in any means.
Went with my sister to the oncology dept. Everyone there is friendly and helpful including the staff! Given any hospital has long wait times but they seem to be doing their best! Keep up the wonderful job! I would recommend going here to anyone. Clean environment, family friendly, great doctors, and wonderful staff!
