I like Lowe's but this location could use employees that want to help customers. I had an employee I asked to help me find a part, and his go to answer was to "look it up myself".  I asked if he could check Lowe's telxon or company PC and he said " I don't have one on me. "Just look at your phone". I'm not saying all employees at this location are all this way. But I seem to have the same luck when going to this location. The Windham store has always been great.

I got the money together, and lined up a truck to go purchase the advertised Efficiency Maine 50g heat pump water heater, and use the instant in store rebate, just days before the deadline. Once there, we just couldn't find the "1" remaining they showed in stock at the Portland store. When the busy associate called for backup, the manager left his meal break to come help. He looked in several places again, and then called the Scarborough store to see if they still had one, AND if they knew where it was. They did, so we went straight there, and I got the break I've been needing! Now to get it installed...

Couldn't find anyone to take my order, no menus in sight. Left hungrier and angrier than I arrived. But I got a sheet of plywood and some insulation while I was there so not a total loss.

As a former contractor an avid DIYer I can't tell you how often I'm in a home improvement or hardware store. As such I stopped by Lowe's in Portland today off of Brighton avenue and got to tell you pretty disappointed. Walked into the paint department went up and down every aisle couldn't find the stain that I wanted or needed at least not in pints.. The associate Manning the paint department watch me walk up and down each aisle at least twice searching, then I stood there and waited.. and waited and waited but apparently his conversation with a pretty young woman was far more important than helping a customer..  They literally sat there shooting the bull about houses and displays and every other thing under the sun while I scratched my head wondering if that's all that they had to offer for staying.. after about 10 minutes I decided to leave I thanked him for his help on the way out and headed over to home Depot.. they really aren't much better but at least I know where they keep the stain

Shopping Trip: March 20, 2023. Early Afternoon. Tim M. was fabulous. He was quick to greet & assist me when I arrived at the checkout counter. He was immediately friendly, humorous, & good-natured. He made me feel welcome & I was able to smile & laugh with him. I desperately needed that kind of interaction that day. I left feeling grateful & happy that I chose his checkout line. I'm tearing up a little typing this. Please know that this Scarborough, ME Lowe's location has wonderful staff on board. ----- I had such a good experience at this Lowe's on this day. Tim M., Chuck, & the gentleman who was working the carts outside at the time, were all helpful & kind to me. I've never experienced such a pleasant shopping trip before. I live in New Hampshire & was blown away by the difference in how personable & ready to assist the staff were at this Maine Lowe's. I'll probably never forget it & am sad that I will be going back to shopping in NH. Thank you, everyone! You made my day. Sincerely, Amanda

Extremely disappointed at service at Scarborough,Me Lowes. 5 weeks ago purchased a $3500. Zero turn mower and a $600. Bagger. Both were special orders because they were not available in inventory. I was told that they would arrive at the store yesterday. I went to the store to determine if they had,in fact arrived and arrange delivery. I was informed that they could be delivered today. This morning I was contacted by the delivery driver that they were on the way. Great. He arrived shortly with  the wrong mower and a box with the bagger that had been retaped back together. Upon opening it ,it was obviously scavenged. Upon calling the store it was determined that the correct mower was still at the store, unassembled in it's shipping crate and it was unknown when it could be assembled and delivery available. The Assistant Mgr Tim I spoke with was the same person who ordered the mower and bagger in person with me 5 weeks before and was responsible for the loading of the order. He was unable to provide me with a definite  date the mower could be assembled or delivered. The delivery driver was especially apologetic, contacted me by phone twice trying to figure out where and when my order was or could be delivered. The disconnect between the store Management and customer service is unacceptable at best. Kudos to Alisha, the garden clerk who went to great lengths to get me my order and the delivery driver Mike who attempted to get me my order.  Ron Arborio.

Worst experience ever. Bought a washer and dryer they brought the dryer Monday morning, said the washer was on another truck and would be there Monday afternoon. Dryer was all dented up said they would call Lowe’s and get us 50 percent off but then lowes said they can’t do anything because they paper work is on the other truck. The other truck called at 3:30 in the afternoon and said they had to go home because it was a holiday and will bring it tomorrow. It’s now Thursday, have tried calling the Scarborough store over twenty times but can’t get through, got through to Sanford and the manager said it’s not her problem because it was bought in Scarborough. Pretty sad is all I can say.

Delivery is a joke. Your company sells products, then leaves the customer in a lurch, handing it off to a delivery company that can't manage their phone system or read notes. I thought this company operated with a higher level of service. I know we only spend 20-30k a year at their stores, but, apparently, they don't pay enough for the right people or delivery companies that can manage the business properly. The manager even cried, "Nothing we can do." Which I believe to be an outright lie.  They'll send you a canned response on here, so don't expect anything to change. We'll  hope for the delivery while waiting around again. I hope the appliances 2nd trip through the county leaves it arriving undamaged. We are disappointed and ready to get back to local suppliers to fit up our newest property. Update: 2nd delivery didn't show, another wasted 6 hours. Apparently, our new fidge is driving around New England on the wrong truck. Tim, the store manager, didn't call, as promised. Big surprise. Now we wait, again, to hear from the delivery company who hangs up on you while you're on hold.

I found everything I needed. The customer service was good.  Overall a good experience

Not very easy to find a associate unless you go to cust. Serv desk and then they all looked annoyed when I asked a question.. otherwise very easy to shop the store
