Lowes has awesome prices and a wonderful selection however the customer service is lacking. We asked for assistance in finding something when we finally found someone that worked there and she told us the aisle it was supposed to be in and sent us on our way. We didn’t find what we needed. Two girls were standing by the cash when we used the self checkout and never stopped talking to each other. As we passed them they moved over to let us through. I said thank you and a ‘no worries’ answered me. I remember when people that worked in a store thanked the customers for their business or invited them back. Those days seem to be gone.
Terrible experience with delivery. Save the trouble and time and pick it up yourself. We were assured a seamless process of delivery after we purchased in store but instead had to deal with the store “not knowing” where our stove was, even though they mentioned 300 being in stock. This location did not bother to call and notify us of this issue, and instead we found out by calling ourselves after the delivery date had passed. Once the new delivery date was scheduled, we were told both on a voicemail and in person that we would receive our delivery between 12pm-2pm and would receive a 30 minute warning. To our shock we got a call 10 minutes to 2pm to let us know they were outside our house. A very frustrating experience all around, and very inconvenient- disrupting our days; which could easily have been rectified with proper customer service procedures and communication in place.
Purchased 2 generators and arranged to have them delivered. Delivery was 2 hours late. Upon contacting Lowes, I was told I'd have to call the transport company myself because "no one was available in Delivery". The happy moment created by the delivery truck's arrival was short-lived when it became obvious it was the wrong product. Another call to Lowes was eventually routed to manager Mike. He promised to investigate and call back. 30 minutes later he called back, confirmed the wrong items had been shipped, and said he'd personally deliver the correct product within the hour. And he did. 5-star rating for manager Mike. 1-2 star rating for store staff.
The Belleville Lowes in recent years has sunk to an all time low from scant unknowledgeable staff, to through the roof prices, to the worst customer service in the industry. I recently went to the store as the under warranty $200. Schlage lock on the front door of my home stopped working and could not be locked. I was advised they could do nothing, it was not their problem, I would have to take it up with Schlage. After tracking down Schlage which operates under a different name for warranty I was advised that they would send me forms to my e mail address to be completed and returned. If approved, the required repair parts would be sent to me. The process would take two or three weeks. Now, they have not even sent me the forms. This is the straw that has broken the camels back for me. I will never return to Lowes for anything and I will never buy another Schlage lock. Useless companies with dismal customer service.

The staff were amazing, very helpful, attentive and friendly. We were looking for a sliding door and found exactly what we needed and we got a great deal on floor model and on another gorgeous exterior door as well. Everyone was super helpful. Great experience!

Visited Lowes Belleville today for cabinetry and appliance help. Rajat was fantastic in the appliance department, helping us to choose our fridge, stove, microwave, and washer/dryer combo. He answered all of my questions with clear and insightful answers, highlighting the benefits of certain brands and steering us away from fridge models with durability issues, for example. Doug in cabinetry was also fantastic. I brought in some rough blueprints and sketches of my ideal kitchen and Doug quickly mapped a 3D scaled blueprint of the drawings, complete with an itemized order log and pricing to boot. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and a total wizard on the designer program. An absolute pleasure to shop with. Props to the team at Lowes Belleville. Your level of customer service has guaranteed my business moving forward.
Don't even waste your time; this place is a joke. Really gone down hill quickly. Stick with Home Depot. Far better customer service and product availability.
