Description

The tradition of Catholic Education in the Mankato area began in 1865 with the establishment of the first Catholic parish school, SS. Peter & Paul. Loyola High School began in 1908 and Good Counsel Academy opened in 1912. Three more elementary schools became part of the picture: Holy Rosary (1925); St. John the Baptist (1942); and St. Joseph the Worker (1958). In 1969 all parish school 7th and 8th graders combined in a new educational venture, Fitzgerald Middle School. St. Joseph and St. John merged in 1973. Good Counsel Academy closed in 1980. Loyola Catholic School has evolved as the parish elementary schools, Fitzgerald Middle School, and Loyola High School consolidated into one system, Mankato Area Catholic Schools Inc, in 1990.

In 2006 our school system continued on its journey when we were renamed Loyola Catholic School. Today we continue to be supported by four parishes: Holy Rosary, St John the Baptist, Ss. Peter and Paul and St Joseph the Worker, as well as the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

At Loyola, we promise to guide students toward their full potential, walk with them in faith and equip them to lead and serve.

This school is super delicious and their teachers are amazingly splendid. Their food was bussin also this choir teacher was absolutely stunning and their choir is easily a top 1 choir. This band teacher tho isn’t so smack. Anyways the choir is absolutely AMAZING. Go to this school or you will become one of the slums.
school staff refuses to follow proper medication and classroom adaptation procedures for special needs students with hidden disabilities which violates the americans with disabilities act, and has conspired behind parents' backs to file false child protective services reports with no basis for the call in the first place other than the child might have a physical illness resulting in bathroom accidents at school. teachers have also made illegal calls to doctors behind parents backs, it is not their place to do so without first consulting the parent, it actually Violates HIPPA laws doctor patient confidentiality agreements., you are not allowed to access student medical records without a release of information and signed consent from the legal gaurdian. this is disgraceful conduct for educators and as a soon to be licensed therapist focusing on behavioral disorders I am absolutely appalled at the stories I hear from parents with kids who have special needs. do better or shut down your academy.
I Loved it when I went there, but I no longer go there, and my mom's friend's son got kicked out for having autism just like me, my parents didn't like that and did a bad thing, and charge a friend $250, just because of it, If you have autism, a lot of people are nice there, but it's very hard for autism people to get in, and they get kicked out, I hope we stand up againist that.
This is a wonderful school! Definitely worth getting your family involved with. Highly suggested. Staff and teachers is amazing, caring, helpful, and friendly.
Food is not the best. The school building is not that great. The teachers are nice but some of the kids are not nice. I recommend looking for other schools before this one.
The best place
