GCS Purpose of our school:
Grace Christian School has a two-fold purpose. First, to assist parents in complying with the directive from God in Deuteronomy 6:6-10 and in Proverbs 22:6 which states:"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Secondly, it is an extension of the ministry of Grace Baptist Church in preparing God's people for God's calling in their lives which is their ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).
This school then will endeavor to lead pupils to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and to provide an opportunity for each student to develop spiritually, morally, intellectually, physically, and socially in the light of the inspired Word of God (Luke 2:52).
GCS Philosophy of our school:
We believe the foundation for accomplishing our purpose must be and is Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 3:11: "For other foundation can no man lay than that that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." Psalm 11:3: "If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Philippians 1:21: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
We believe that each student is a distinct, individual creation of an omnipotent God; and, therefore, is the property of God.
We believe that each individual student is directly responsible to God for his life.
We believe that an individual who allows the Lord to govern his life will demonstrate proper Christian character.
We believe that we need to establish models of Christian character for students to emulate.
We believe that God has given parents the responsibility of educating their children, and that the Christian school acts as an extension of the local church to assist parents in their God-given responsibility.
We believe in using Biblical methods of correction for training, and in maintaining strong discipline.
We believe that the inner core of our curriculum is Jesus Christ.
We believe that our country was founded upon Christian principles and that our country must be led by men of Christian principles for it to remain as a Christian nation.
We believe that the local church is God's organization for this age; and, thus, we will promote the local church through this school.
