Over the last year, our family lost both elderly parents. During these trying times the team at MacKinnon Funeral Home was a source of compassion, strength, and professionalism; handling each step with utmost care and precision. It was a comfort to the family knowing such a team was there supporting us.
My mom died at height of the recent COVID disaster at home. The hospitals and care givers were all a mess with heavy restrictions and little time for the usual emotional care. MacKinnon Funeral Home & Mass Bay Cremation Service were the one shining light during the entire fiasco. Hats off to them - they were always there to help out 24/7 !!

Very professional .Sensitive to the grief of a new widow who could not let the body be taken away. Patient,kind and caring. What else could you want??? Phone calls returned promptly. Highly recommended.
I was there recently for the services for my best friend. The staff did a really good job working with the family to create something that captured the spirit and essence of my friend. He would have liked everything. In an interesting side note, I used their cremation services for my dog Sadie in 2012, and had a really positive experience back then too.
Absolutely the best care you can find when a loved one passes away. Relaxed and professional environment full of caring employees. The entire process is explained eloquently and empathetically. Most funeral homes try to take advantage of your grief, this home has the best prices, and they explain where every dollar is going; indirectly letting you know when others are trying to rip you off.
I had spoken with Thomas MacKinnon, and he was very pleasant to deal with. He was patient with my questions and he came across as very nice and caring and offered any assistance that he could provide with his services. All of my questions were answered and I felt very comfortable dealing with the MacKinnon Funeral Home and with their cremation services. Their service was excellent.
I cannot recommend MacKinnon Funeral Home highly enough! Big & Little Tom were immeasurably kind, personable, & attentive. I cannot convey how profoundly grateful I am to have had them supporting my family during the most challenging week of our lives.
My Nana Elaine Sawler received the best care from big Tom and little Tom, they both went out of their way to make sure she was taken care of and were very professional. Even during the worst time with covid. Highly recommended, very family oriented. Both directors couldn’t have been more helpful.
