We're not generally Macy shoppers but we stopped in because we heard they had acquired Toys R Us. When my children were young I loved shopping at Toys R Us for Christmas. The Toys R Us section brought back some fond memories, but it was quite disheveled. There were toys on the floor and it was overall a bit crowded with narrow aisles. There seemed to be quite a few people at the cashier counter waiting to be checked out. Overall, it was somewhat overwhelming for me.
I have purchased a couple of mattresses and a bedroom set from Macy’s in the past, and have always been very satisfied with their quality and service. I am writing this particular review to express my appreciation for my “brick and mortar” Macy’s, located in the Burlington Mall, Massachusetts. A couple of weeks ago I made the trip to Macy’s because I wanted some guidance in ordering a new sofa. On-line shopping has many advantages, but it does not have a Sales Associate named Jean! Jean was terrific: attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. I didn’t have much time, but Jean made my trip well worth while! She suggested a couch I would not have considered on my own, and after trying it out I decided to place the order I somehow just trusted her!. Unfortunately, the color I wanted was not immediately available, but I decided I could wait until March for delivery. To my surprise, Jean called me last week to say my sofa was available, and it was delivered with white gloves last Friday literally 11 days from the date of purchase!. I don’t know if the “under promise and over deliver” strategy is part of Macy's corporate culture, but I am one very satisfied customer! And Jean? 100 gold stars to her for her outstanding service and expertise. I love the sofa and I love Macy’s! Keep up the great work!
Cai one of the managers there was extremely helpful in helping me with the difficult situation. She went above and beyond going to different registers until she was finally able to solve my issue. They have multiple brand names and generally nice goods. The prices are decent if you catch a sale. My original sales person was new there he bundled a couple of things. I did have a poor experience calling to resolve my issue. I got bounced around once and then hung up on three times.
I dislike shopping for clothing, but I can always locate what I need quickly at Macy's. If you hunt for the best offers, you can often negotiate discounts of 30 to 40 percent. I wasted a great deal of time shopping elsewhere for work attire. On a Sunday, I spent roughly the same amount of time and money at Macy's as I would have elsewhere. If you value your time...
Store was extremely hot. Walked around to find checkout waited 15 minutes to use one and the line never moved. Found another check out nobody there. Tried to give up and leave couldn't find a way out due to all the escalators being closed. Had to call our kids to find a way up to show us out. Very dissatisfied!
Macy's is amazing. Huge discount on almost all things. I love shopping at Macy's as always. Nice quality and new fashion clothes.
Today me and my family went to burlington macy’s in jewelery section. Miss Anu who helped us was very nice n cooperative. But lady working in morning shift were very very uncooperative n not customer friendly as well as manager lady was also very very rude.
Looks like the store has been ransacked…bad restrooms, broken escalators. Macys is moving towards its doom but this one is categorically the worst one I’ve been too. This opinion is based on multiple visits over different seasons.
Working with Macy's and being a customer of Macy's I got to feel both atmospheres. They treat their employees with so much respect and they're always rewarding/giving incentives to have the store as a whole, accomplish goals. On the other end, customers receive excellent service and great deals. Be sure to check out their Backstage for great deals as well. Edit: The management respect, worker appreciation and decency is on a decline.
Three floors of various good, well organized with adequate customer service. There are a range of products. The most assertive folks are for the female products on the first floor. It is located in a comfortable mall and if that is your interest, that is the place to browse and shop.
