Stopped here this week to pick up an outfit for a dinner coming up at work. I was helped by Roni in the men's department and she was super helpful and patient with me. She gave excellent suggestions and helped me pick everything out. This is not my first time here and it was about time I wrote this review after so many years coming to this store I never walk out disappointed.
It was okay but not a huge selection. I went for a coat but will be visiting another location instead. The sales reps are very nice and I did get a perfume
I had a rather disappointing experience at this location. I visited with the clear intention of buying a specific promise ring for my girlfriend, but was met with unexpectedly poor customer service. Despite my readiness to purchase, I found the availability of staff in the jewelry department to be lacking. Once I did manage to find a representative, the process to open the display case and retrieve the ring was painfully slow, taking up to an hour. Adding to my frustration, I discovered after my purchase that the ring was pre-engraved with the initials 'M' and 'P', accompanied by a star – a detail I did not request and was not informed of prior to my purchase. Upon contacting the store to address this, the response I received was dismissive, advising me to simply return the item before the call was abruptly ended. Based on my experience, I would urge potential customers to exercise caution when purchasing jewelry from this location. The customer service left much to be desired, and the possibility of receiving a used or engraved item without prior disclosure is a valid concern.
Very disappointing experience at the Rockaway store. The cashiers in the men's department have no idea what they are doing. I was buying $166 worth of clothes and I wanted to use a VISA gift card for part of the payment. Well,the first cashier kept telling me to put in the PIN number gift cards don't have PIN numbers and the card kept coming up declined. Then another cashier came over to help and she didn't know what to do either and had the nerve to try to tell me my gift card was fake! I was so annoyed that I paid without using my gift card just to get out of there! I immediately after leaving Macy's went to Eddie Bauer and bought some more items. I tried my gift card there and guess what...it worked! Of course, because the cashier knew how to ring up my purchase using a gift card! So, you're telling me Macy's, a major department store doesn't know how to take a VISA gift card as a payment???? Ridiculous.
Macy's was absolutely clean no waiting lines anything like that the staff was very nice and helpful. All the prices was marked and they have Fourth of July sales going on. You should go and see what they offer You have a very nice day
So sad. I was the biggest Macy's shopper ever. It's just not the same with retail going online. As a mail order return store, transactions are quick and easy.
I came to the Fragrance Dept to inquire about Bleu De Chanel for men and the associates/staff were extremely helpful to me. They knew all of the varying differences of parfum, eau de parfum and eau du toilette and their prices and helped me place an order for an item that, in the app, was said to be undeliverable to NY for some reason. Everyone was friendly to me and helped me make the best selection possible parfum and a complimenting shower gel. Fragrance itself is awesome. The Macys also has its own larger parking lot and two floors in total.
NO stars. There is NO shopping assistance there anymore. Merchandise is strewn in piles on the floor everywhere. The place looks like it was looted. I found an $800 watch that I was suprised to find there, but the counter lady standing alone and doing absolutely nothing refused to acknowledge my obvious presence - and the reason became obvious when a friend walked over and they started to gossip. Bought the watch on Amazon, as I should've done in the first place. There only seems to be one register per floor open now. This place is dying and it needs to put itself out of its misery and close.
I want to give MARLENA “FIVE STARS “ Because she always helps me to get the best Perfume she really does have great Taste though , she always nice to me, she’s very helpful, she’s very patient , she’s very professional, and very experienced. I wish Every Employees that work at Macy’s could be like MARLENA.
Purchased shoes that caused blisters after short try. Aprox 4 hr wear time in a carpeted house. They refused to take this poorly made shoe. Not even a store credit!!!!!
