This Sears has been a part of the Rockaway Mall since its inception. Would have to figure that this Sears would be one of the stores staying based on all of the upgrades they have made to the exterior, but who knows. Seems to have a lot of inventory that is priced to move. See what happens.
they have a great amount of options. the only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the junior misses. my daughter tries to find something there while I look and she can never find anything. although I love the women's bathing suit options and my sons love the shorts. great overall, just not for everyone.
The service was extremely terrible. The cashiers are generally rude and slow and don’t care if you are in a hurry. I was on my way to sears to give my daughter a dollar since she only needed one more. The cashier was rude and telling the other cashier how can people be going shopping without money and my daughter was standing right their. When I got their I confronted her and she was like all nice like nothing had happen even thought she was rude the whole time. The service should improve and that’s one reason why Sears is going out of business.
this store used to be great. customer service has gone downhill to being useless. just left a few minutes ago after trying to buy an impact gun on sale for $35 with a clearance sticker on it. it rang up as full price and the lady just ripped the sticker off it and very rudely insisted i paid full price $117. i left without the impact gun and will go to home depot.
I am truly sorry to see this store close. I thank all of the employees who helped me with appliances, home furnishings, lawn equipment, auto parts, and especially Craftsman tools over the years. This was my go-to store for many of the items we needed and the people who provided and supported our needs have a lot to be proud of. Goodbye old friend.
I went to the auto store for tires, and Tom who works there couldn't have been nicer. Not only did he give me the best price possible, he went out of his way to fit me in for an appointment around my schedule. He is truly a valuable asset to Sears, and could probably teach the younger associates a thing or two about customer service. Good job Tom.
Not surprised they are struggling for business. Horrible customer service. Purchased a CRAFTSMAN MOTORCYCLE JACK. Used it 3 times for a total of maybe 1 hour. It’s defective and basically almost drops my motorcycle when I try to let it down. They say they won’t warranty it. Stay away. Never inviting when we go into the store. You’ve been warned
Asked an employee walking past for a price on an item that was not marked. He did not work in that department so he immediately went and asked another employee to help us and in turn told us that that gentleman would be right over to help us. There were 2 employees helping one customer at the register and were totally ignoring us even when we walked over to the registers to get their attention. TOTALLY IGNORED US!!! Not happy at this time. Have been a long time shopper of Sears but I have a very bad taste in my mouth now. Downstairs in men’s clothing there was very pleasant and helpful woman. Upstairs is like a ghost town trying to find someone to help you. Very disappointed!!
Absolutely inept!! I ordered something online and wanted to pay in store. The email specifically says to pay at a register prior to going to merchandise pick up. I bought some items and tried to pay for the online item at the same register. The women at the register told me I had to go upstairs to pay for the item. I get to merchandise pick up and when I enter the bar code it tells me to PAY AT ANY REGISTER! This woman was completely inept and didn't know her company or do her job properly. She asked for help and the woman she asked flat out dismissed her and sent me upstairs. Horrible customer service!! COMMUNICATE POLICIES TO YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!!!
Bought tires at Sears in Rockaway. What a nightmare! Wheels wobbled after I left the store. When I went back and complained that the tires we're balanced right, and that it was a waste of my time having to go back to the store, he had the nerve to tell me "it wasn't like we blew your car up". I them asked for the manager who was just as bad. He had the nerve to say to me that "sometimes these things happen". "It's just unfortunate that they just happened to you". I then contacted the corporate office and spoke to the district manager who said he'd take care of it but I have no idea what he did. Sears used to be reputable....not anymore!!!
