We are an Indianapolis based skilled nursing home and rehabilitation center serving residents of Indianapolis, Greenwood and surrounding areas.

Description

As a service of Madison Health Care Center, our TruRehab therapy program offers unique rehabilitation services to all of our Guests. We offer physical, occupational and speech therapies with our own full-time staff. Specific therapy services are based on the initial clinical assessment of each TruRehab Guest. To supplement therapy sessions, our TruRehab nurses and CNA’s are trained to assist our Guests with activities of daily living and provide ongoing education that will benefit our Guest when they return home. Other unique features of our TruRehab program include private suites, complimentary local telephone services, flat-screen televisions, Direct TV services, and private dining and lounge areas. Wi-fi, Skype and computer availability are services available and complimentary.

Knew someone that worked there. They said they physically saw the staff and residents get treated poorly. They cover up anything they can and the big problem with this place is the management team. They completely disregard safety issues with residents. If I could give no stars I would

Very friendly staff. There is 2 nurses that feel like family to me. Maintenance was very fast to fix my tv and hang my picture. Need some updates but feels like home.

Needs closed! Worst place I have ever seen. They let the call lights go on for hours. Won’t change their bottoms resulting in bedsores. Staff is so unfriendly it’s ridiculous! Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone if you need to check on your loved one. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE THERE! Rude and aggressive staff!

Sister Work there for awhile. She is now pregnant and high risk and was threatened multiple there. The staff know her issues do to the pregnancy but didn’t care at all. Threatened to fire her multiple times because she had to go to the hospital so she can check on her unborn child due to the stressful environment she was in and the bleeding it was causing. She finally left after a resident assaulted her causing her to go to the hospital. That could’ve made her lose her child and nobody there cared shameful. The other staff is also aggressive to other staff members and residents also. I wouldn’t recommend working or sending family members there!

This team is so amazing and pleasant. Joyce did an amazing job touring the facility. I’m so excited to see their new dialysis unit when it opens.

Horrible, wretched place!!! Almost killed my mother in law. They do not attend to their patients. Mother in law had a major stroke and it was very obvious but it took 3 family members to actually point it out that something was very wrong. She went from talking and being feisty to staring off into space and couldn’t use her left side. Where do they train these people?! Don’t let your loved ones go here, they will not have a good outcome. The staff absolutely does not care about their patients. They can say they’re short staffed all they want but for absolutely no one to notice the 80% decline in my mother in law is ridiculous. I knew immediately something was wrong with her but we had to point it out to the staff who supposedly takes care of her all day/night. They should’ve noticed when someone goes from talking to not talking and staring into space. Should’ve been very obvious. Terrible place.

Went there for PT had terrible time. Wasn't given a button or checked on the whole first day, messed my medicine up, food made me puke and only got "well I didn't cook it" not even a sorry here is some water to wash out your mouth. Physical therapy and activity people were amazing but I still wouldn't recomend

I was there a month ago and this place was kind of scary. The roof leaked, the carpet was old, the toilet would mostly not fully flush, and then the interior  has never been renovated which meant the wiring was about 60 years old place built in 1963. Totally understaffed. You get your dinner at 5p. one day and then 830p. the next. Many other things but simply it is not the place to be. Obviously a quick moneymaker for the owner.

Went in for rehab was only there for 2 days and that was more than enough.  I am on several medications and a daily pain regiment and never once received any medication from them.  When I asked about bathroom they said just go in the bed and they would clean it up but then I would end up laying in it for hours. First night there laid in my own mess for over 6.5 hours. I was never told what to bring or what to expect when I got there so I did not know I needed to bring my own stuff as far as drinks and things and when I asked for something to drink I was surprised when they asked me for $0.65 for the vending machine. In two days no one came to talk to me about anything no welcome to the center no this is what's going to happen this is how things are done anything. When my family doctor called to check on me and was telling her what was going on she said no no one deserves to be treated like that I'm getting you out of there she then called the facility to talk to them about what was going on I then had a nurse come in and yell at me for talking to my doctor and telling her what was going on there she told me that if I wanted out of there to pick up the phone and call 911 and get out. My family doctor had to arrange for EMS to come and get me and transport me to the hospital from her home on her time off because the center refused to do it because they were mad because I said something. There are other things that happened too much to put into here I will say if you care about the person you're looking for a place for then do not repeat do not send them to this place.

During this pandemic period, my stepfather was transferred to this facility. I tried visiting through making appointments through Activities Director. Making contact with anyone at the facility is painful and so disappointing.  I had to call the facility to learn that my stepfather passed away a week prior to the phone call. Please do not place your loved ones at this facility.
